The Funky Phantoms escaped many Hanna Barbera fans. While the Scooby Doo gang had their Great Dane and the Speed Buggy mystery solvers had their talking car, these teenagecrime solvers had a ghost from 1776 and hiscat. Listen for the voiceover talents of TheMonkees Mickey Dolenz and Snagglepuss himself Daws Butler. Exit. Stage left.

The first one I received was defective. Discs 2 & 3 wouldn't play at all. But doing the exchange was super easy and fast. I just followed the prompts on the website, dropped off the defective one to my local Staples, and the replacement arrived a couple days later. Overall very pleased with the DVD.

The memories I have of Saturday mornings in the 1970s is full of many memories of dozens of cartoons.there were those I watched and the ones I never got to see because they conflicted with my favorites.This show must have conflicted with Scooby Doo or something because I didn't get to see it to often.I started watching the set and boy,what flashbacks.This is one of those funny,spooky shows that came along after Scooby'sSuccess early in the new decade. I've been trying to fill the gaps in memory with purchases of shows from that era and this one fits the bill nicely.From its opening theme I was transported to Saturday AM circa 1971. Not a bad place to be.

Remember liking this as a kid, but that was a LONG time ago....I remember the ghost had a strange Snaggle Pus voice....did I like it cause of that...or was that something I didn't like about it...no idea. Put on the first episode and the second the theme song came on I was singing it, remembered nearly every word to it.....Yeah as good as I remember...not as good as Scooby Doo or Josie and the Pussycats, but a not too distant second. Good purchase.

Wonderful cartoon! This and many others takes me back to my youth and the fun memories.

Love the Funky Phantom, it does have a Scooby-Doo feel as some has said, only there is a real ghost and his cat on this one. Love having these on DVD. My childhood consisted of marathons of these great shows.

I enjoy the Scooby clone shows and this one was a good not my favorite one but enjoyable classic. I think they should do specials on these old school Hanna-Barbera shows or revivals like everything else they doing since there are barely any original ideas anymore.

Great show but I wish it was the original and not a burnt copy from Amazon. I hate finding out later that is it just a copy. They scratch so easy.

Show is actually pretty entertaining... but a handful of eps don't play. This seems to be a common trend with these Hanna Barbera dvds.
