Zen 8-Piece Stoneware Chocolate-Fondue Set

I really like this fondue set. It is a true white as shown in the picture and looks very elegant. It is a bit small, but is a good size set for four people to eat fondue. The dividers on the plate are nice because you can put different fruits for dipping. Also, what I like best about this set is that it is so versatile! You can use the pieces independently from one another if you're serving something other than fondue, such as chips and dip.I look off one star because I absolutely hate the serving sticks. The different elementary school colors are very off-putting and not at all elegant like the plate set. It's embarrassing to serve guests with these. I have to buy another set that matches the elegance of the plate set, and they're not too cheap.All in all though, it's a nice small fondue set for someone who doesn't have a lot of room for storage and doesn't eat fondue too often to want something bigger. Also, I think the candle adds a little something to the occasion that electric fondue pots can't deliver.

I bought this last year for Valentines day as part of a dinner that i was making for my fiance. I was making a chocolate fondue and thoguht this was perfect for the both of us. It worked out great! At the time I thought the price was great. Whats sucks is that i found the same thing at the supermarket for a little cheaper than what i bought it off amazon for. If time is money then I woulda saved time and a some money by buying it at the store. BUT, i found this item in the store about a year after the time i bought this, and when i bought it, i needed it then. So....All in all...it was a deal and it worked out great. It looks great and I love the slots for different dipping items. I would reccomend it

I purchased 3 of these fondue sets for a complete fondue meal of cheese, entree and chocolate dessert. I love how the outer plate is one solid plate whereby one could also use this plate and center bowl for non-fondue items such as cold or hot dip in the middle and chips on the outside cold dip on the outside and chips in the middle, or use for Chicken Tortilla soup in the middle and tortillas, cheese, diced onions, green chilies on the outside...Very versatile! As far as the fondue goes, I have some Trangia? stoves powered by alcohol, with simmer rings that would be fabulous for the entree portion ie. oil or broth, to cook the meat, vegetables and what have you, in. Could be perfect for the cheese and chocolate as well. Our fondue party is coming up soon so I will update on how the Trangia stove worked out versus the candles. Extremely pleased with these purchases!

Let me caveat this review by stating this is my first experience with any sort of fondue set. Having said that, this was a great first experience! The set is somewhat smaller than the photos give the impression but it is perfectly sized for two, perhaps even four, people. We set it up with a chocolate fondue and the candle kept it hot for over 3 hours. The tray is nicely sized and looks like it can be used separately for fruits, crackers, veggies, etc even when not fondue-ing. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the fondue forks are somewhat shorter than I expected and there is no "rack" or place to sit them built in.

This is great! It's big enough for one to two people and one square holds about 1 sliced banana or 1 chopped pear. The dipping bowl holds plenty of chocolate, not sure how much but it was enough for the fruit that fit on the platter. The candle heats up the dipping bowl just fine but you have to remember to stir it every once in a while or else the heat will eventually "cook" the chocolate. I ended up blowing it out as soon as the chocolate was melted throughout and warm.

! Great little fondue set! It's so cute! My only complaint is that it is "New" but it was cracked in the corner of the tray. & it came with the wrong instructions, not that you really need it I just wanted to see if the bowl was microwavable.. it is! The crack is not very noticeable an not big at all so I don't find it to be much of a problem. This is a great set regardless !

I have not yet used it as a fondue and have a feeling one must preheat and doubt it will keep things warm. However, it is super cool for many uses. I have used it for a salad...dips of all sorts. The fondue picks are ugly. I would not use them. SO I guess, I am loving it but not sure of it as a fondue set.

I loved the look and size of this Chocolate Fondue set. The Chocolate fondue recipe included with the set was very easy and very good. However, the candle included with the set caused the chocolate to burn on the bottom. The fondue tasted fine, but it took a bit of soaking and scrubbing to get the burned on chocolate off. I think I will add more evaporated milk the next time and try to cut the wick shorter.

It actually heats up well! It kept the cheese fondue nice and melty. All the equipments work well and are just as described and pictured. It made our first fondue experience very pleasant. The set-up is easy as well!
