The Law of Attraction: The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham

This book is a must read in understanding how the law of attraction works especially if you have a negative or victim mindset of "bad things always happen to me". While reading this book, I received a lot of inspiration and found it easier to observe my surroundings thus allowing my reality to shift. There are a lot of concepts and I'll definitely need to re-read to get a clearer understanding and wire in the new knowledge but from the first read, the book has helped me to shift my mindset. I've given it 4.5 stars only because I think a big part of LOA is the beliefs that we have and I would of liked this to be explored more. Also, there was a section talking about how we don't carry wounds from past lives but I currently believe that we do. After all, there is no ultimate truth but I still appreciated and recommend the teachings of this book.

This book was recommended to me on foot of conversations with my coach. I would recommend reading the Four Agreements before this book. They are by different authors but they come at the same set of core values and issues from largely different perspectives. Depending on your own current understandings and beliefs, the Four Agreements may be a helpful transition and pathway to the Law of Attraction - they were for me. Even if you commence this particular book with a somewhat sceptical point of view, stick with it. The journey of the authors in reaching their own points of insight is open and honest and that in itself is reassuring. After that, work your way through it. Try out the practice activities that the authors recommend - there are only a few - and feel the difference.

This sensitively written book is an absolute delight. It confirms feelings that I have had all my life but which seemed to be at odds with the conventional world around me. For those who are not bound by dogmas passed down from earlier less enlightened generations and would like to think for themselves, this book is a joyous revelation. I savour every sentence and regularly dip into the book for support and confirmation. The reasoning and patient way of reinforcing the universal laws are a sheer masterpiece, clearly spoken by very wise beings. The concepts help us to unlock the mysteries of how and why our lives follow the paths they do.If I had to pick just one book to have for the rest of my earthly life, this would be it. No superlatives are good enough.

Ok so after reading this book and doing a bit of research, although there is truth in what the authors say, the basic teachings have been there throughout history anyway and put forward much better by previous philosophers. While I believe that the law of attraction exists, I’ve come to the conclusion that Jerry made up the whole Abraham thing and used Esther to perform it. I’d say save your money, go on you tube and watch “the secret” it’s basically the same thing, same lessons, without the funny fake put on accent of Esther claiming to talk to Abraham, which by the way isn’t a single person, but a group of spirits collectively known as Abraham who first contacted Esther by making her air write letters with her nose lol. In conclusion, the lines used in this book will make you laugh they’re so preposterous. Watch “the secret” by Rhonda Byrne instead for free.

Read this book on my kindle and through my kindle app on my phone. It took a while to read because I wanted to be clear in my understanding of it. From the beginning of reading it, the goose bumps went through me. It is truly amazing. I have read Infinate Possibilities by Mike Dooley and both books compliment each other beautifully. They have changed my attitude to life. I am a better person because of it. Reading about the universe has now become an addiction. What an amazing high!

Since getting this book, I haven't been able to put it down. It is full of wisdom, clarity and makes so much sense. Having read Tolle, Gawain, Chopra, Grout (a particular favourite) etc etc, The Law of Attraction somehow slots everything i've learnt so far together. The format of essays then questions and answers, is perfect for getting the message across. Looking forward to reading it again, and again, and again.

Buy this and don't bother with The Secret. This is basically the original and from what I can gather the author of The Secret got everything she knows from this book! This book teaches that it is not just about positive thinking, its about the emotion that you feel as well. It can be repetitive but it just helps to drive the simple point home.

The book does offer some good points, but the contents have clearly been stretched to a ridiculous level to fit in the book. Several times I had to go back to see if, by any chance, I already read that part of the book. Several sections are almost copied and pasted in different parts of the book, the same 3-4 concepts repeated several times.On the Kindle edition, the final index takes 22% of the book!Repetita Juvant, used to say the Romans, but sometimes it'd be more honest to put together just a 10-20 pages report than writing an entire book repeating the some 3-4 concepts until you are bored to death.

I have to admit that I was hesitant to order this book when I saw it, but having listened to some of Ester's seminars, i decided to give it a go. Am I ever glad I did. I and now reading it for a second time, because of the incredible information in it.If I could pick one book that my kids would study in school, this would be it! This book is literally the manual to how your life works. It explains why you have gotten what you have in your life as well as how you can change it to what you want. This is not just theory, but actual instructions that if you follow them, will change your life.I am reading it for a second time, because of the changes I am experiencing already, by just applying just a bit of it, and now I want more.If you are tired of working like a dog and having nothing in your life, while you see those that don't work anywhere near as hard as you, have more, READ THIS BOOK!STOP! If you already know how life works, don't waste your time or money on this book. It won't help you, guaranteed. But if you are willing to try anything to improve your life, read this book as soon as you can.

Information and practice, I liked it!

Helpful book for all. The method described is very useful.and the q and a section answers all our doubts and questions.

This book is just a perfect complement to many wise and ancient teachings. If you have already started a spiritual path and have worked with different teachings and masters, this all makes sense. Moreover, it is practical and easy to read compared to other reachings, like Jiddu Krishnamurti, Sri Aurobindo Gosh or Seth.If you look at it ONLY from your limited rational mind and conciuos thought (through the eyes of your beliefs and cultural baggage), you will not understand or feel the essense of the book. But, if you connect to your higher self in meditation, this book will make sense. Try it out. "Thruth Will Out".
