Super powerful universal in-ears that are ridiculously good for the money
The KZ ZSN are quite simply worth the money. Of course, there is a never-ending vortex of in-ears and headphones to explore and debate, but this review is simply for these in-ears in a vacuum -- compared to themselves. The packaging is nice, comes in foam and each side is separated. Looks cool. The build is super solid -- metal on the outside of the shells (the part that shows from your ear) and the inside is a semi-translucent plastic. The pair I got are the smoked black and it looks good. Seeing the internals plus the black is slick. The cable is nicer than normal with a copper colored quadruple braid. Feels solid, very likely not to fault. Now the sound (honestly the important part). To me, these are slightly warm and have a focused soundstage. These are not the "widest" headphones I've ever used, but it's not a bad thing. Everything is present and very powerful. The low end is booming and very intense. For electronic music (Current Value - Signal Jam, Beau - Mourn, Misanthrop & Synergy- Slap The Ghost) the low end would dropkick my eardrums if it was any bigger. The low-mids are banging and these are really an EDM/Rap/Metal/Hardcore/Cinematic/Ambient lover's dream. The mids are really full and present. They are round, warm and have pretty good separation. The highs are the weakest part of the headphones but are still good by all means. They are a bit rolled off on the highest end but that works for me personally. I cannot stand sibilant and shrill noises. This increases the wear time of the headphones without fatigue. Finally, the comfort is super high. I don't like rubber tips so I swapped mine out with some Comply foam tips and dig them. I think most people will find the included tips enjoyable and they also have good isolation.Overall, for just over $20, I'm listening to quality that is 90% of the level I received when I got my custom molded Westone ES3X in-ears 10 years ago for the cool cost of $820. There are things about this headphones that aren't perfect out of the box with the soundstage but they could absolutely be remedied with some EQ adjustments. You might enjoy them fully out of the box. At this level, it really is subjective and I'm enjoying them a ton.If you're considering buying these just do it.Other models owned:Westone ES3XTin Audio T2KZ ZS6

Durable Earbuds for EDC
I am always looking for new earbuds because sooner or later they always break. Lately, I have been enjoying these earbuds, and they work really well! I think these are a great value, and should last a while.Sound:These earbuds have two drivers on side. One is a dynamic, the other is a balanced armature. Traditionally, balanced armature drivers are better at producing high frequency sounds, and dynamics are better at low frequencies. These earbuds do a good job in both regions. Lows are somewhat shallow, but make up in detail and response time. The highs are pleasant and clear. I would say these are more on the accurate side of earbuds, and do not have as much as a V curve as others.Durability:The housing is made of some hard plastic, with an aluminium decorated side. The cables are braided and have silicone strain relief. The mic/button is all plastic too. I love detachable cables, and these are much more durable than the mmcx standard. However, i can see these cable are more custom, so finding replacement cables might be tough. Sooner or later, the cable will become too stiff, as all braided cables do. only time will tell. The rest all seem very well built and should last a while.Comfort:I have never really been a fan of over ear cables because I wear glasses, but these are much more comfortable than others that I have tried. Although they did seem a bit big, they sat flush with my head and did not protrude too far out like other in ears. I could wear these for many hours and not mind. The mic is also well positioned, and the cable is the prefect length. If the eartips do not fit, they include another set of small/medium/large tips, but the housing cannot be changed. I have small ears, and these were still comfortable for me.

Shocking Value!
Let me start this review by saying two words: Very surprising!I've tried tons of IEMs in my day and my current daily drivers are my Campfire Audio Equinox's (a $1500 pair for those uninitiated few) which have the greatest sound of any 'buds I've ever tried. Now I'm not saying that these KZ buds are anywhere near as good as the equinoxes, but for $20, I am absolutely blown away by the sound! The closest thing I can compare the sound signature to would be the Berylliums by Periodic Audio. Now, the build quality leaves something to be desired: the casing is made of transparent plastic with a cheap metal back plate (has some sharp edges too) which doesn't look half bad, but clearly has a "cheap" feel in the hand. The cable it comes with is a braided copper cable that reminds me of one you'd find on a decent entry-level audiophile grade pair of buds, and while I'm not a fan of the clearly visible copper, it's definitely still a good sign to have that quality cable over some toothfloss-thin cables that some other buds in this price range come with.Bass: When listening to songs such as Billie Ellish's Copycat, Pyramids by K-Theory, and Shining Moon by Cowboy Junkies, these buds provide a plentiful amount of bass, sure to please the average basshead, and doesn't drown out other frequencies. It's definitely not a flat response by any means, but the bass still provides a "fun" sound to your music.Mids: The guitars and ukelele of Down By the Riverside are nice and crisp, as well as the surrounding voices of the three singers in this particular song. The opening acapella of Secrets by Radical face are all clear, although I've noticed a few of them sound smushed together a little bit. The imaging isn't too bad but the sound stage is clearly condensed when listening to certain songs.Highs: I've definitely noticed that some highs (I'm not sure of the exact frequencies) sound rather flat at times, leading to a sound that leaves a bit to be desired , and some tunes are left feeling not as bright as they could be. The drum part of Shining Moon keeps a good tone though the cymbals are noticably duller than they sound on my Equinoxes.Verdict: Honestly, if you're looking for a good intro into third party audio (i.e. you want to wear something that isn't the buds that come with your phone) then these KZ ZSN's are an amazing deal. Overall, I'll definitely be using these as a travel pair of budsTL:DR; average build quality, good bass, great mids, slightly disappointing highs

Amazing clear sound for the $$$
I am so blown away by the value for these IEM’s!!!I have gone through up to 50 types of earbuds in my past.Paying way more than I did for these. The others could not produce the clarity of these. The only ones that came close, was a pair of Seinheiser earbuds that were more than 6 times the price. After warm-in, the lows are subtle and not overpowering. The highs are defined and welcoming.I love listening to tracks that I’ve heard 100’s of times before, but now noticing new sounds in the background, that I’ve never heard before. Most value I’ve ever gotten from any product I’ve ever purchased.
