This is a reprint of a hardbook in softcover form with a new cover photo. The content is wonderful but I already owned the hardcover and thought it was a "new book".

I love this book, in particular the in depth views of the gardeners whose gardens are discussed. I found it very appealing that several of the people(I haven't finished the book, preferring to dip in and out of it) are keen in conserving or bringing back traditional plants.It feels like meeting and talking to people who have a similar enjoyment of gardens for plantsmanship and the pure joy of gardening.

Very disappointed in the book. I was looking for garden ideas.

Gorgeous photos. I was hoping this was more of a traditional French gardening book, but beautiful anyway.

The advertisement for this talc shows the original Yardley talc, now discontinued and replaced with an unpleasant, cheap version, not in the least reminiscent of violets. I was most disappointed to receive the 'new' version when I thought I was buying the original. The advertisement for this talc should show the new version so that people will know what they are buying. My purchase went straight into the refuse bin.

I was disappointed as I thought this would be inspiring and full of wonderful images and also look good as a coffee table. Seriously overpriced for what it is. Book a bit outdated to be frank.
