Great support - great price!
This boot is great. Shorter height than the one I was sent home with after cast removed. Actually makes my ankle/leg feel better while wearing it. Great price also. Highly recommend if you're needing a walking boot.

The perfect boot!
This boot is awesome!!!! I broke my right foot May the 1st, after two surgerys and 4 months in a cast I have graduated to a walking boot. After trying two other boots I ordered the United Ortho USA14115. I can not say enough good about the boot! Excellent support, quite comfortable, acceptable weight. I would strongly urge those in need to purchase this boot! They know what they are doing!!!!!

Has been good protection, comfortable, a good support
After a recent incident where I ended up rolling my ankle into a midlevel sprain I needed a boot. My wife found this United Ortho Short Air Cam Walker Fracture Boot and - thanks to Amazon’s overnight Prime option - we bought it and had it here the next day. After almost three weeks I can say this United Ortho Short Air Cam Walker Fracture Boot has been a great asset for me, helping protect and give a place to heal my foot, while allowing me to also safely walk as soon as I was able to be up on it. The United Ortho Short Air Cam Walker Fracture Boot is mostly well designed with good materials and has stayed strong throughout. I will say, due to my injuries I have been unable to put the United Ortho Short Air Cam Walker Fracture Boot on by myself throughout. My wife has had to do it. From my standpoint, it would be a little hard at times - on and off can be a bit painful, but as we got used to it, less issues happened each time. We also learned a few “short cuts” such as having the inner boot inside the outer boot and me setting my foot into the whole unit - rather than putting it into the inner boot and setting both into the outer boot - saving me pain from the narrow opening. The pushbutton air filling mechanism is in an... okay spot. I again could not do it myself until recently, but even for my wife it meant a kind of “bending” to reach it for her. And it requires a pretty solid, hefty pumping motion in order to get the air in. You’ll work for it. But with each pump I could feel the air entering and could talk her through what and how much I needed. So from that standpoint, it worked well. And the mechanism works outstandingly well when emptying, Over the three weeks I only - somehow we still can’t figure out - accidents released the air once. The inside feels good and comfortable, but equally supportive even without the air. But that air felt so much better once in. I never felt weakness nor discomfort when wearing or walking. I never wore a sock in there, and mostly remained cool and comfortable, but maybe twice I did get a bit hot. Nothing slipping off the outer boot didn’t help. Even the inner boot was comfortable alone and while it didn’t give them the same level of support, it reminded me to watch out for my ankle and kept it from giving way - I never walked with it alone. The United Ortho Short Air Cam Walker Fracture Boot included two cushioned pads you can set inside, securing with velcro, in order to provide more cushion and aide in proper fit. We used these every time and they worked well. I do wish they’d include a second set as these two - while still being good and can be used in the future - do take a bit of a beating. It would be nice to have that second set as a back up. In the end I’m still using this United Ortho Short Air Cam Walker Fracture Boot for another few days to week, and from the first time we slipped it on, my wife and I are both happy with how well it worked. It has helped me through and I am grateful for it. Any “cons” are so weak they would not keep me from using this now again, or getting another just like it (hoping I never need to, that is).

Yay, I can walk without pain!
Only been wearing this a few days, but it has made a huge difference and made it possible for me to walk. I love the inflate feature because it made the boot feel more secure without having to over-tighten the straps. It does take a few tries to get it perfect and you have to walk around in it awhile to get the fit right, but it felt great and there wasn't any pain, which is saying a lot because I have a fairly bad sprain and can barely put any weight on it at all. Being able to walk the day after a sprain is a big help when you don't have a lot of time to be down. The boot is more comfortable if you wear a knee-high sock with it because it can rub on your skin a bit. If it's cold out, you'll want a warm sock because it's amazing how cold your toes can get with only a sock to protect them. I also found that the very front rubbed a bit on my shin, but I saved the foam shipping inserts that came in the boot and use one of them in that spot and it makes it feel much better. I will say that it helps to pair it with a shoe that has a heel on it or you will end up walking lopsided all day and that can throw your hips and back out of alignment. I wore a clog with a 2" heel and that seemed about right. This isn't the first boot cast I've had, but the last one went all the way to my knee and felt really big and clunky. I still have that one, but I really wanted one that was smaller and easier to get around in. This one is much easier to take and I don't feel like Frankenstein. Granted, some injuries require the knee-high boot, but if your doctor says you can get away with the shorter one, I absolutely recommend it. Much easier to find pants that fit over this one, although you'll still want some boot-cut jeans unless you want to tuck them in or roll them up. I will say that the sizing is not perfect. I ordered the medium, which should have been perfect because I wear a size 10 and that puts me right in the middle of the sizing recommendations (8.5 - 12). I did take the liner off and put it on first and then put the boot on (like the instructions suggest), but my toes still hang over the edge. Just a little bit, but I can feel the liner under my toes and it gets a bit uncomfortable after awhile. It's not horrible, but if I were going to be wearing this more than a couple of weeks, it would start to get annoying. Of course, after reading all the reviews, I get the idea that the large would be way too big so I guess until they come up with more sizes, some people will just have a boot that's a bit too big and some a bit small. Truly, it's not that bad, but if you wear a size larger than a 10, you might want to consider sizing up, especially if you'll be wearing it more than a couple weeks. You might even want to order both sizes and return one of them. It's worth the small shipping fee to be sure you have the correct size in the beginning. I read reviews before buying it and other people who wear a size 10 said it fit perfect, but everyone is different and nothing fits everyone. I really wish these had existed years ago because I have sprained my ankles many, many times in my life and this would have been extremely helpful during college when I was limping around with just an Ace bandage on. I probably did more damage to my ankles by doing that and I can tell that after wearing this for a few days, my ankle feels better and seems to be healing faster. Probably because it has more support when I'm walking around during the day. Whether you get this boot or another one, I would definitely suggest getting one if you injure your foot or ankle because they really help. One final note -- I ordered this and paid extra for overnight shipping and I had it by noon the next day so many thanks to the company for that. I definitely didn't have time to wait for something like this to arrive and was extra happy that I got it so early in the day.

Life-Changing Boot From a Company Run by Incredible People
I don't normally take the time to write reviews, but this one is different. The orthopedic boot I purchased from United Ortho has genuinely changed my life. Before getting this boot, every step was a painful reminder of my injury. Simple things that most people take for granted. Walking through a store, going outside, spending time with family, even just getting through the day had become difficult and frustrating. From the moment I started using this boot, everything changed. The support, comfort, and stability it provided were unlike anything I had experienced before. For the first time in a long time, I was able to walk pain-free. It gave me confidence, independence, and most importantly, a sense of normalcy again. I truly feel like I have my life back. What makes this story even more special happened completely by chance. I was at a golf course wearing my United Ortho boot when two gentlemen noticed it and stopped to talk to me. They introduced themselves as Andy and his son Brooks and told me that it was their boot. I was honestly stunned!! What impressed me wasn't who they were, but it was how genuinely kind and interested they were. They wanted to know how I liked the boot and how it had helped me. They weren't trying to sell anything. They simply cared. As I explained what the boot had done for me, I found myself getting emotional. I told them, with tears in my eyes, that their product was a complete game changer. I told them I could walk again without pain and that I finally felt like I had my life back. The fact that the people behind this product cared enough to stop and ask about my experience speaks volumes about the company. Meeting Andy and Brooks gave me a renewed sense that there are still truly good people in this world. People who take pride in helping others and making a real difference in their lives. United Ortho didn't just make a great orthopedic boot. They helped give me my freedom back. And after meeting the people behind the company, I'm convinced that their commitment to helping people is exactly why their products are so exceptional. Thank you, Andy. Thank you, Brooks. And thank you, United Ortho, for creating a product that has had such a profound impact on my life. Five stars isn't enough.

Out of air
I had this boot in a size small and really liked it. Great comfort, easy to wear and loved that it was shorter. After about a year it stopped holding air. When I ordered another one I got a size larger (Medium) because I thought it fit more the way it was supposed to as far the length for my toes. In the small my toes were right at the end. After a month, this one stopped holding air, too! I really need the air to make it fit properly so I am not constantly pumping it up! My leg has also atrophied after wearing it for 3 months so it is really quite loose now, to the point where I could slip my foot out of it without unfastening it. So, when it works, I love it! Now that it doesn't hold air, it's a bit troublesome.

Great boot
This boot feels great. I tore the tendon sheathing in my foot and suffer from tarsal tunnel as a result. I borrowed a friend's boot which was the taller version with a flat bottom mainly for outside walking. It was very heavy and clunky and pressed on the damaged nerve so I switched to using a knee rover. My doctor recommended this one and it feels so much better. The padding is great, even where the nerve touches. Its lightweight and has a curve to the base that makes walking very comfortable. My injury hurts when you step off the ground forcing me to hobble with a straight up & down motion so the rocker makes the motion painless. Its easy to get on & off. I adjusted the sleeve to fit and only need to loosen the top 3 straps to slip in and out of it. I have thin feet so it may require further adjustment for some, I wouldn't know. I inflated just a couple pumps so my foot is set but not too compressed for my injury. I wish I'd bought it sooner.

DO NOT BUY- 3 Defective Boots in a Row!
I'll start by saying I'm a bad Amazon user. I only write reviews if something blows me away, or truly falls short of expectations. Unfortunately, this review is the latter. I had foot surgery nearly a month ago and my podiatrist's office recommended I purchase my post-surgery boot through Amazon vs their medical-grade device in order to save 2/3 of the money. I thought it was great they told me this and jumped at saving some money. I chose this boot because it had the most consistent strong reviews and fit my needs. The first boot I received held air well for about a week and a half, then would quickly deflate on its own within about 5 minutes. I initiated an exchange through Amazon thinking this was just a "bad unit". My new boot arrived and I sent back my original boot. However, the new boot came out of the bag not holding air. As soon as I aired it up for the first time, it deflated within about a minute- it was worse than the first. I immediately went back to Amazon, confirmed there were no better options based on the reviews of the boot, and also found a very small percentage of this particular boot that stated they had similar issues. I came to the conclusion that maybe I had terrible luck and received 2 boots that should've failed QA, but were exceptions. I initiated an exchange again with Amazon, only to find I could not do this since they still hadn't fully processed my original boot return. I was stuck in limbo with another boot that was defective. I spoke with the Amazon customer service and they stated they would issue a refund of my second boot onto a gift card that I could use within 2-4 hours to buy another, then send the other back. This turned out to be inaccurate. I hung up the phone then received an email from the agent stating I would get the gift card once they processed the return of my current boot. I was so frustrated by this point, but had to have a working boot in order to get around. So, I reviewed the options on Amazon again, found every other available option had worse reviews with multiple people stating they didn't hold air, so I swung for the fences and ordered a 3rd version of this boot. Guess what? After 4 days, it doesn't hold air for more than 5 minutes. So here I am after 3+ weeks, I've paid out of pocket twice, sent two boots back, and still have a pending return of my original boot that hasn't processed (thank God I kept the tracking info), and a defective boot that doesn't meet my needs. In retrospect, I absolutely wished I had purchased the medical-grade boot directly from my podiatrist. At this point, I've spent nearly as much buying this defective boot multiple times. In my opinion, this is just not a product to buy from Amazon. I would look elsewhere, but absolutely don't buy this piece of junk
