Review: A great record by the still number one group. - Have been a Beatles fan since I was a teenager away back in the 1960s. Had bought all their LPs and singles then. These records have become tired so I decided to replace them with LPs which have been remixed and reproduced in Stereophonic sound. They sound is amazing and gives me the same thrill I enjoyed when I first heard them 60 plus years ago. The Beatles are still the number one group Review: WITH THE BEATLES....YES PLEASE - Oh My God, Am I So Happy To Have This Album, I Have Been A Massive Fan Of This L.P. A cracker of an album
I first heard this album in the late 1960s as a 14 year old and was always amazed by the energy and freshness of the music and performances - well I just updated to the CD and the magic is still there, plus the CD packaging - rather than being a downgrade from an informative record sleeve - is a great improvement by including lots of pics and info not available on the original album (as far as I remember). The sound quality is FAB and I've read reviews about the basic stereo effect - well I first discovered this in the late 60s (when record buyers were given the choice of buying the Mono or the Stereo version) and I used to be fascinated by how I could tune out the guitar, bass, drums or vocals by turning the balance control. It was a great way to hear how the arrangement was put together and the balance on this CD is identical to those originals - I wouldn't want to see that changed as it is an original feature of those times, and it was a great advancement on the Mono recordings before it. You'll hear the same stereo sound on all the early Beatles records. This isn't just great music - it's also great history and I'm on cloud 9 listening to it as a write (actually 'I wanna be your man' has just started so I need to get up and dance) - bye!!

🎶 'If there's anything that you want - with love from me to YOU' 🎶
Speedy delivery at an excellent price. We'll packaged and sleeve that the disc arrives in, is superb. For use in my car as all my original Beatle albums are safely stired & older cd's are for indoors use only. Been following The Beatles since 1963! Just about know all the words 😉 Thank you

A GREAT CHUNK OF NOSTALGIA
I was trying to figure out why 'All my Loving' was omitted from the '1' album of Beatles hits because it was one of my favourites from the days of my pre-teens and I'd always thought it had been a hit single, but apparently not. I found it on this album and thought that I might as well get the whole thing rather than download the one track. Yeah, this album is big-time nostalgia, mixing the music that was influencing them at the time with their own stuff. I was more of a Rolling Stones fan back then so it is good to hear The Beatles version of 'I Wanna Be Your Man' which The Beatles recorded after first giving it to The Rolling Stones to have the hit with, which set The Rolling Stones on their way. Great album....60 years old...and still belting.
First heard this when I was 10 years old on our new Stereogram! John Lennon was a fantastic singer.....their version of Barrett Strong's "Money"...knocked me out then and ever since...Lennon almost rips his vocal chords out...amazing! Their harmonies on the Marvelettes' "Please Mr Postman" are sublime.....much better than the original....imho. Harrison's voice is haunting on "Don't bother me".... Brilliant album, bought it three times over the years! Love the digit-pack and design, good booklet notes on this too. Early stereo? But still great. Total respect to the late genius of Sir George Martin too!

With the Beatles... Here's my first 180 gm Vinyl LP, "With the Beatles", Parlophone Records, June 1963...Analog Stereo, 33-1/3 R.P.M recording by Parlophone Records, its the UK Release edition, not US Capitol Records, Release edition...ah, hell lot of memories attached with this Record...finally holding it.....just as it would be 53 years ago in 1963... At 180 gm pressing am sure, can even hear my breath in that Recording...some things just get better with Time... ."It won't be long yeah", "Money", "All my loving"...still remain one of the best songs Lennon wrote..a lot of original material is there in this which is not covered fully in this group's later Album like "Help", "Rubber Soul" or "Revolver"....."A Hard Day's Night" movie and the Album is more mainstream and leaves their cavern and club style of playing ...but 1964 demarcates a shift..I guess President Kennedy assassination of 1964 changed the mood of people up till that point, due to which everything reflects that shift and change from early 1965 onwards, and so even the group's music too in Albums like "Revolver", "Rubber Soul"....et al..this Record tries to capture the energy and spirit of the group before all of this and successfully does so...these are the songs that I would hear to before I begin my day with... With The Beatles...

2nd Beatles album, great songs. Starts with John on it won't be long, All I've got to do and All my Lovin', George has a superb guitar solo on All of my Lovin', Don't bother me marks debut of George as a composer. Little Child has George Martin on piano, till there was you comes from the Music Man, Please Mr. Postman comes from the Marvelettes Motown, Chuck Berry Roll over Beethoven is one of the most requested items at concert performances. Hold Me tight features Paul, the Miracles You really got a hold on me is featured with Martin on piano, Ringo is featured on i wanna be your man, hammond organ is played by John, the Donays Devil in her heart with Ringo on maraccas, Not a Second Time is double tracked John and Money is a worthy climax to this cd. Great cover black and white photo cover by Robert Freeman and great black and white inner liner photos. This was the first LP to sell a million records and it stayed in the top twenty for 51 weeks. Excellent Beatles cd. Highly recommended.
