The camera installed easily. The rear camera cable was a bit long for a 2 door car, but probably necessary for a larger SUV. If your car is small, plan on where you want to stash the extra cable. Mine fit above the headliner with some moderate effort. The mobile app is good, probably not great, but gets the job done. Definitely download the Windows app for reviewing videos as the playback experience is MUCH better than something like VLC. Picture quality is amazing, but it eats storage like crazy. I'd recommend buying a large storage card.

I had this professionally installed and it kept having issues. The unit kept overheating and stops working. This is in California heat and my car is parked in a garage. The installer said this is a common issue. When it works it's great! Picture quality is amazing, easy to use. But after the 5th time it went out within a span of 6 months, I gave up.

I couldn’t even use the camera. The power cord fuse cap had some foreign object under it blocking power flow. Contacted BlackVue to fix the issue.
