The hub seems to work ok when left as an un-powered hub.But I purchased it to use as a powered hub, seeing how it has a supplemental micro-USB power input. I wanted it to plug a USB wireless network adapter in to that recommended a powered USB port. But when I plugged the USB cable from my PC into the USB IN port on the hub, and plugged power from a USB power adapter into the micro-USB port, the Power LED on my PC lit up and the computer would not power up. When I unplugged the supplemental power from the hub, the LED went off on my PC and everything worked as normal.The bottom line - If you only need the extra USB ports, without having them powered, then this hub is probably fine. It feels and looks high-quality with its metal case and hefty weight. But if you are looking for a way to have a USB hub with supplemental power, I would recommend looking elsewhere as the one I received is useless for that application for me.

I got this for my home office set up. It looks great, matches my decor, and is made of sturdy metal. It also lets me hook up all my peripherals. I can easily disconnect them from my laptop by unplugging a single USB cord to head on the road. When I come back, with one USB plug I can instantly hook up my mouse, keyboard, 2 external hard drives, and Wacom tablet with a single plug. I still have room to spare on my port and can use it to charge my phone, which I store in the ridge on the front. My Windows laptop only has 2 native USB ports, so some kind of expander was necessary. The AIFFECT is super durable, convenient and long-lasting. I couldn't be happier with it.

Whenever I buy an USB hub, there is always one port that does not work. This one broke that jinx and all 4 ports are working fine and the color matches my macbook pro. A slight con would be the USB cable that connects the hub to my laptop is too long, but that can be beneficial to other users.

The product has potential but lacks refinement. It does not have an anti slip rubber bottom, causing it to constantly move even by just the cable connection. The side circles feel like cheap chrome plastic and there is a small rattle when you gently shake it. The size is good and the port selection/placement is very nice.

It works ok but the USB ports were upside down for my vape charger, so I can’t use the cell holding nook-which was why I wanted it.

Works as expected. Nice build and design. Small enough to be portable, and discreet.

Working very well on my desktop with my devices.

Just what I needed

The sturdy aluminum body sets this apart from other USB hubs. It looks stylish and it's great to be able to stand my phone up on it while charging. But I think most people do not realize that the metal housing also provides shielding from RF interference. USB 3 equipment tend to emit interference at around 2.4GHz, and this causes problems for Bluetooth and other wireless devices. However, the aluminum frame wraps around the whole hub and acts as a shield to absorb the interference and keep it contained within the hub. I haven't had any problems using my wireless devices around it even with a USB hard drive running.There is an auxiliary power input port on the left side of the hub. It is only necessary if you are going to use power hungry devices. Since I intend to do just that, I bought this power adapter to plug into that port:  Aukru 5V 3A Charger 3000mA Micro USB Power Supply for Raspberry Pi Model B . Very happy with my purchase. Like one other reviewer commented pick up the power adapter for power hungry USB devices (I have a Focusrite preamp connected to mine and Cowin wireless headphones that I charge). You don’t really need an adapter other than for that. It’s durable and has an expensive “feel” to it. I have it mounted as you can see in my pics so I don’t use the lip to rest my phone (no wireless charging). Where you see the blue LED light is where the optional adapter plugs in. I’m very happy overall.

Satisfied. But i wouldnt recommend iPad or samsung S8 on that stand.
