The wife loves her baffins. They are hard to find

Black cush unisex slippers, after 4 years of use the exterior of the slippers are holding up very well (almost look like new), the interior curly pile footbed has worn a bit (shown in photo) but are still useable (no holes yet). They have not been used for walking the dog, walking to mailbox to collect mail & newspaper, running to the store, etc. Just used in the house and onetime when I had a two-week hospital stay (they kept my feet toasty warm in the overly cooled rooms). Shortly after I purchased the Black ones, I had gotten a pair of the Merlot color. So far, the merlot interior does not have the interior wear like the black pair only because I tended to wear the black ones more often.I am considering looking for new ones, as I feel the black pair will need replacement soon and the company said they had increased the density of the curly pile footbed to last longer, I then came across these arvadasurplus. com/product /baffin-unisex- cush-insulated- slipper-navy / (eliminate the spaces to view). These may be the way to go for the lower cost.

I bought these slippers for my mother-in-law. She has perpetually cold feet. I searched long and hard for a pair of slippers that would fit her. Her extremely high arches and wide soles make most slippers impossible for her to even put on, let alone wear comfortably. I figured if sleeping bags for your feet wouldn't fit, then nothing would. She absolutely loves these things.Because they're sleeping bags, almost any foot shape will fit into them. The adjustable drawstrings are great. They do not have "arch support" because there's no hard sole to them, but they are padded all the way around. The soles are a bit slippery, so be careful if you or the person you're purchasing these for has poor balance or isn't very surefooted. You won't be sliding around like you're re-enacting "Risky Business," but the anti-slip sole is a little lacking. I'm sure adding the anti-slip slipper soles to these would solve that problem, if it was a concern. The soles will also probably wear down quickly over rough surfaces or if you scuff your feet a lot, but that's okay. These are not meant to be outdoor/wet weather slippers. If the swishing sound of a sleeping bag bothers you, don't buy these. I don't mind and neither does the MIL, but they will obviously *swish* with every movement. There's no sneaking in these slippers.Overall, I may get a pair for myself someday. I tried on the pair I bought my MIL and, I gotta say, I was a little jealous. Great slippers, decent price, and a happy MIL!

nice and warm, but are much smaller than expected

First let me say I have a mens 10.5 foot and the xl fit well.I wanted a slipper for wearing inside a hut or cabin on winter treks. It was important to me that they were lightweight and compressible because I would be carrying them in a pack all day. The size xl weighs 5.7 ounces for the pair and is no bulkier than a pair of thick socks. This does lack a foam sole (which is partly why they're not bulky). The sole is some sort of synthetic insulation between fleece inner and nylon outer. "Polar proven" is written on the sole with nonslip material.This lacks the durability and waterproofing to walk outside, it is primarily for indoor or tent use. The nonslip sole works well, but makes it difficult if you want to wear them inside a sleeping bag. The one modification I made was to replace the adjustable cord with stretchy shock cord which is more comfortable.These are not as warm as down booties, but the quick drying synthetic material and reduced weight are a worthy trade off.

I only hesitate giving this 5 stars b/c they are still new, have only worn them a few times. For sure deserves 4 stars, they are super cute/ugly and fun to wear, I sure hope Baffin isnt planning to discontinue them! I want to get another pair bright color for next winter :) The sleeping-bag-padding all around is enough to make one feel invincible to anything that could cause a stubbed toe, ha. In a way I wish the back of slipper over the heel was a bit higher, just to make the foot feel more secure. The drawstring is neat, next time I will order a larger size knowing it can be made very adjustable, such as for thick winter socks. Great product!EDIT TO ADD: April to July, I'm still wearing and enjoying my Baffins every day. So far, the soles are holding up fine (contrary to other reviews) and it's amazing that even in summer months (wearing indoors) the slippers make my feet feel wonderful! I was ready to order a 2nd or 3rd pr, but they are sold out. I wrote to Baffin Co and got a nice reply that their Cush series is very popular and stock will be replenished Sept 2014. I have an order waiting here at Amazon. I now give these slippers a full 5 stars.

I love these things, I go through a pair a year. My feet get cold very easily and these are the only slippers that keep them from turning into a block of ice. They are a bit pricey for a pair of slippers especially going through a pair a year but absolutely worth it to this human. I will say that they are really only for indoor use, if you wear them outside they won't last long at all. I plan on trying Baffins version of these that has a sole next time but they probably won't be as comfy as these

I have always had cold feet this was the. Only slippers that have ever kept my feet warm but the bottoms get holes in them and I would just replace them. Now the price has gone up so much I will not buy them anymore I’m sorry to see them go

I just received these today. Nice and comfy. Only issue they sewed the logo on the inside of the slipper instead of the outside. No big deal. Just looks a bit funny

Looks like a very well made and super comfy slipper. I'm sure over time, the poufiness will flatten out but order a size bigger unless you like a really snug fit.
