Europe Prepaid Giffgaff Sim Card 20GB Data and 4G/LTE(Data tethering Allowed) Giffgaff Intranet Call Free 40 Destinations for 14 Days Ideal for The European Travelers

After faithfully following the instructions - registration and activation at least 3 days before arrival, I arrived in Europe and discovered that this SIM does NOT work as a prepaid SIM. I had to pay at the GiffGaff website to use this SIM. Even after multiple exchanges with the vendor before the travel, no real help was given. So be aware. Do NOT buy this if you are looking for a prepaid SIM. This is simply NOT. I would give a zero star if the Amazon website allowed it.

This is worked wonderfully, the only thing is that you need to follow the sellers instructions, not the giffgaff activation instructions, read the sellers instructions before you travel, that way you can activate the sim with an active Internet and not like me that tried to activate when I arrived to Europe. It works very well in Paris and Bruges but Italy was a little challenging getting internet siganl strength but it got me through where I wanted to be. Seller will help if you too.

These cards did not work at all. We had to borrow,a phone to while we were traveling. Very dissatisfied.

I went to Spain for a 10 day vacation with family and friends. I bought this card because of the high data allowance (20GB). I activated it by going to the seller's website and keyed in the requested information and it was done.Upon arriving in Barcelona Airport, I popped in the card and I got a text message. About 10 minutes later, I had internet. We hang around Barcelona and then flew to Malaga and toured South Spain and Gibraltar. I had internet the whole time, mostly 4g. Others were able to use the data via my hotspot. We used it mostly for Google maps/photos, WeChat, and Ring Monitoring.On the 8th day, we flew back to Barcelona. I had about 9 GB left according to tech support (The only way you can keep track of usage is by email provided in the package). But on the 9th day, I lost internet for about 8 hours. The phone is showing 4g, but nothing was coming thru. I believe I was throttled because the card had worked in the exact same location a week before. We had problem getting around since google maps stops working altogether. Fortunately, a friend had bought another Orange Card in a Barcelona Subway Shop for about 17 Euro (7GB, with phone and text). We were able to use her hotspot instead. The next day, the data started working again with no problem.Overall, I used 11 of the 20 GB. It was very good when it worked, which is majority of the time. But on the day it didn't, it was very painful.

Zero balance right after activating. Not able to use it. Don't buy, total waste of money

DON'T BUY. As the other two reviewers from 2023 stated: this SIM does not come with preloaded data, it's just a free SIM card.You'll have to perform the following in order to make this SIM useful:* Activate it on giffgaff.com* Choose a data plan and add money to your account accordingly (the minimum you'll need to spend to get EU roaming is 15 pounds). Note that giffgaff is a UK-based carrrier, and none of the data plans allows more than 5GB of roaming in EU. The 20GB claim on the product page is completely false.I would have given this a zero star if I could.

The SIM has more than 20gb data, for some reason I got more than 14 days. The network transition from country to country was very smooth and fast, throughout my trip I had 4g connection and little to none network drops. I paid $50 for 2 SIM cards, Verizon would've charged me $300 for a month. I highly recommend!

I used this for a trip to Europe and it worked fine. So I bought another one to use for another trip and when I tried to activate it, it said it had already been activated. So I contacted customer service directly and through amazon and got no help and my card never worked when I got to Europe. I ended up buying another sim to use while I was on my trip because this one didn’t work at all.
