Worked perfectly. Nice part. Easy install.
URO makes some half ass water pumps and other generic gear for the Mercedes. They managed to hit the mark with this part. It came in a sealed bag to keep the dust out on it's overseas journey. Take a 2.5mm hex head bit without the driver and use the pressure from your index finger and thumb alone to remove the retaining bolt from the painted plastic part (not included). At this point the screw is removed and you want to make sure to CAPTURE THE TINY O RING on the screw. I thought that the unit would come off at this point but you will have years of car wax and road grime that worked it's way into the base seal. Wiggle the unit side to side and front to back a little. Remember the antenna is fragile so try not to force it. I wiggled mine for a few seconds and it finally gave way. Pull up and back towards the hatch or trunk and clean the stain left on the pain from the original base seal. My seal looked good at a glance but under bright light I noticed that the Al Gore plastic was starting to crack as well. Clean the bottom rim and antenna hole from the antenna cover. Discard the old antenna cover and base. Push base of the antenna cover thru the painted side of the opening on the antenna cover. You will fold it slightly as it pushed into the unit. The lower seal is tapered out so follow the pattern your old seal had. You will have to hold the base seal in place as you gently place the cover back on making sure that the antenna is inserted into the cover. When you are done with this and it is lined up, USE ONLY YOUR INDEX FINGER AND THUMB WITH THE HEX BIT TO TIGHTEN THE COVER ONTO THE VEHICLE. Feels like about 10 lbs of pressure. Don't strip it or you will be stuck buying the 150.00 dollar unit from Mercedes. The only way to get the OEM seals. I'm an OEM junkie but buying a whole kit for something that failed due to environmentally friendly plastics is horse hockey. I was happy to see that this part from URO was perfect for a seal replacement. I wont put URO anything on my car. This was a one time thing. Good luck!

Easy install using Armor All to seat the Antenna Tip. Don't lose the insulating washers.
I removed and replaced the O.E.M. Antenna Tip & Gasket on my 2000 Mercedes C230 Kompressor using this URO Parts Kit. The installation is not complicated but there are some things to be observant of. First you have to loosen the Antenna Cap Screw. My screw is a 3/32" Hex Screw and not a Torx screw. I used a Hex T handle. Loosen the screw but do not pull the screw all the way out. There are two phenolic insulating washers and one screw "O" ring surrounding the screw cap. If you pull the screw all the way out you take the chance of losing the washers. I cleaned off the the cap and the car roof of the old gasket material using Armor All. Some people are having difficulty inserting the Antenna Tip inside the cap. It's designed to have a snug fit. I squirted Armor All on the Antenna Tip gently using a pushing, pulling and twisting motion. The Armor All acted as a lubricant making the installation a breeze. It will also help to protect the rubber Antenna Tip and Cap Gasket.

It CAN be done with no grease, soap, or heat.
Purchased this for my nearly pristine 2000 C230 (only 28K miles on a 19 year old car, which I babied since when it was brand new). The hardest part of the installation was getting the rubber antenna mast to fit in the hole of the plastic antenna cover. The trick is to push the open end of the rubber mast into the hole from the outside in, do not try to pull the tip end through the hole from the underneath side of the cover. Yes, it’s counterintuitive. It was very frustrating, seemed impossible. But with a lot of elbow grease and perseverance, pinching, folding, twisting, repeat over and over, it does eventually pop through. After that, putting the cover back on and screwing it in place was self evident and easy. The best resource and inspiration I came across was a review on this product by “Lenka” titled, “Worked perfectly. Nice part. Easy install.” Now my car is once again in showroom condition! Mahalo to Lenka, some other amazon reviewers, and a couple of inspirational YouTube instructional vids.

Fits OK
At first I thought I got the wrong antenna tip. I didn't have an OEM to compare with because my original was so rotted out it was held together with tape. Anyways, I followed the advice here and used soap water and pliers to pinch in the antenna and all was well.I then screwed down the M2.5 hex too tight, breaking the expensive antenna cover around the screw hole perimeter. I used some 5min epoxy and screwed it back on, which seems to work. Reason I screwed it down so tight was because the seal wasn't airtight around the roof curvature. But that may just be how it was from the factory. The circuitry inside seems to be sealed as well so I think it's fine.

The plastic piece shown is not part of the package but I like that it's there in the photo as it is ...
The name for the product doesn't match the picture. From the pictures and reading some comments I knew the rubber antenna cover and the rubber seal were the parts I wanted. Arrived within a couple of days and installed in less than 15 minutes. The plastic piece shown is not part of the package but I like that it's there in the photo as it is showing how everything should look like after putting the rubber parts on. I put a bit of silicone paste on the rubber antenna cover and some on the plastic piece to help make it easier to insert into the hole on the plastic piece. Using a combination of pushing and pulling it went on easy enough. The antenna cover looks like it is too fat to fit but it will. BTW I installed it on a 2001 CLK 55 (W208). The old base rubber gasket was dried and cracked.A better name for this parts would probably be, "Roof antenna rubber seals" or something along this line.

Easy to Install
My '02 E430 is now pristine again. Quality part. Delivered in one day. Easy to install following the manufacturer's suggested method. Don't pull up through the cover, simply crimp with fingers and squeeze into hole from top. Push down and twist and it's in. Five minute install with no lubrication needed. Excellent!
