13-Ounce Traditional European Coffee Bowl, White

DADDY COOL. These things are HEAVY. Like murder weapon heavy. You could knock a man out with one. But we're talking about coffee drinking, here. Classique Fronch experience. And because it's so heavy, it holds heat. Pour some hot water in it while you're brewing your coffee, and this bowl will keep it warm for a good long time - longer than a mug. Not my everyday coffee delivery vehicle, but if I'm making an au lait...ain't no other way.

This is a beautiful item and I'm glad I ordered it. In fact I ordered two. But, word to the wise, despite the Q&A saying there is 1 bowl per order, there are actually 4 bowls per order! Nowhere in the product description is a quantity stated, thus the Q&A. But, obviously, the seller has decided to change the per-order count and leave it to the buyer to be surprised! Anyway, I don't need 8, but will share the extras with my sis. Ironically, I had commented to her on how pricey this seemed for a single bowl, but then chalked that up to its being French! UPDATE: To this day, I don't know for sure if my order was fulfilled correctly or was a mistake on the part of Amazon shipping. I continue to love using these bowls.

I love these bowls! They are attractive and for me, they are a perfect size for a latte, or for a bowl of soup, cereal or fruit, because I like eating from smaller bowls. I like the smaller size of these. Good for kid sized meals, too. They feel durable - they have a nice heavy weight for their size that makes me feel more comfortable that I won't break them easily. I also bought them because, although they are more expensive than most alternatives, they are made in France, as opposed to many of the alternatives made in China.

1 out of 3 coffee bowls arrived w/o a chip or crack, due to terrible packaging . However, Amazon had my replacement to me in 2 days and both bowls were perfect but the packaging was still terrible and it's a miracle that the replacement bowls were not damaged as well. Clearly a review isn't about packaging and broken items, and that being said, these coffee bowls are gorgeous... High quality french porcelain. I'm a collector of french porcelain, and I love these bowls! These coffee bowls can be used for so many other food items. I love food photography and the ideas are whirling. You will not regret purchasing these coffee bowls, but you might want to cross your fingers, or pray they arrive in-tact.

A lovely coffee bowl in the true French cafe style. The bowl is very substantial but ellegant looking. It is just what I was looking for.

These bowls (I bought 2) are beautifully made. They hold 2.0 cups total liquid, to the brim. I see a lot of reviewers use them for eating, but I bought them specifically for café au lait. Heat the bowls by filling them with hot tap water, dump the water then blot with a kitchen towel, then pour in the coffee and hot milk. Using two hands, bring the bowl up to your lips, taking in the aroma ... it's pretty heavenly. A total experience. I've seen a number of European films, with people drinking from these bowls. I see now why they have been part of the culture for so long. This is just a nice way to enjoy coffee, a real treat.

Bring of French heritages, and a fan of silent and early talking French cinema and used to see ing the pillivuyt coffee bowl. Decided to treat myself. Perfect and a truly enjoyable coffee experience. Totally understand the concept. English had their saucers, I now enjoy my 13oz bowl. Tres bien!!! Merci Pillivuyt!
