Too much repetition
Having used the BBC Talk Italian course earlier this year for a trip to a non-tourist part of Italy, I decided to improve my Spanish. Having been to Spain a number of times, I have acquired a basic knowledge of a few Spanish words and phrases but wanted to learn more. Unfortunately, due to the length of the introduction and the amount of repetition involved, the 2 hours on the CD don't include nearly enough Spanish phrases. Also, I find there is little logic in the running order. I would have assumed that greetings etc would be the starting point for the CD as they were on the Italian disc, but was surprised that the first thing to learn is 'I have visited Madrid'.In essence, a huge disappointment and not suited to my learning.Having listened to it a couple of times, I realise that the main aim is to teach how to construct sentences in Spanish and I was certainly able to do this. I will need to increase my vocabulary elsewhere, however, in order to use it.

Buenos Dias.
Having only three or for words in Spanish, found this excellent when recently visiting Spain for the first time, didn't order early enough to get proficient, but what I'd gained really helped. Roll on nxt year, because the Spanish people really love you to try.

not what i wanted really
Ordered this but it's more about travelling for a holiday, rather than every day Spanish. Also, a CD is hard to rewind and re play, it doesn't give the options of repeating a few times so you can learn it.

Good but limited subjects covered
Same teaching method as a language laboratory. Very effective but limited to 2 hours means limited coverage : booking a hotel room, reserving a table, ordering food and drink. Ignore comments about too much repetition - that is why it works.
