There are 4 colors. A light and medium gray, cream and a tan with a hint of purple. This is our interpretation as there are no colors listed on the label.

Q: Is the price shown for only 1 skein? That is so much more expensive than Michaels.

It looks like it is for one, the price should only be around 9.99 to $10 or something to that ball park price. I would NOT pay that price!!! Do a google search and you will find them cheaper at other retail sellers, even Amazon has it for 10.83 if you look further in their search. Do not pay more than $10 for an 8.8 Oz yarn of this brand.

Q: Why does it look terrible after washing in cold water and drying on delicate?

Hello. I suggest washing your masterpiece on a delicate cycle with a special detergent for wool clothes. Hope this helps.
