Either they sent the wrong bolt, or the tapped cross bar was welded upside down. Either way it required a trip to the hardware store for a longer, 2" x 3/8" hex bolt (item number 63335 at Lowes). For thirty eight cen+s it's not much of a bother, but worth noting their customer service did not return my call.After 2 weeks outside, rust is already forming in the upright tube and on the bottom of the cast iron stand. They saved paint by only coating the visible pieces. If you worry about staining your deck, make sure to spray the inside of the tube and maybe give the bottom an additional coat of rust resistant black paint.In the end, does it work? Yes. But a bit more care with detail would have made this item much less of a pain.

Thought it might tip over in wind. But it has been fine. It's not supported by a table. It is in a narrow yard between two houses. wind sometimes gusted thru the yard. It probably would not be good in an open windy space.

Overall I like the product! Sound, sturdy, looks very nice.Yes, it is on the heavy side (not that heavy)... so when I ask for it to be delivered by the front door, I expect just that. Not at the bottom of the stairs next to the sidewalk, where anyone may feel the need to take it. Other than that, I will enjoy the stand for years to come!

Very sturdy and intricate design. I purchased to display a carousel horse and absolutely love it. The half round shape is perfect as it takes less space to display.

Has a good weight to it and looks how I expected... but it came kinda beat up. Scratches on the pole holder and missing some black paint on the bottom. I’m picky so I noticed all this while assembling it, that part was easy! I guess I’ll deal with its imperfections because I can always spray some black paint on the areas I don’t like. Only because I don’t want any areas to rust eventually and I feel like on the wrought iron part it could. But overall no one else will notice it and it’s an outside item.

Love these umbrella's bought 2 for out pool area. Sturdy and a great size.

We purchased this half umbrella stand for our half umbrella and the quality is OK. We had a minor issue with assembly as the screw that connects the cylinder to the stand should be longer. We were able to connect the two pieces by removing the washer, but it would be more stable if the screw was longer. In terms of overall functionality, this half umbrella stand seems to work well with our half umbrella. However, I wouldn’t trust it to be able to withstand any strong winds and would probably consider taking the whole thing down in a high wind event.

Similar to another customer who reviewed this product, there are missing components. My item only came with the base (1 part) and everything else (the tube, washers and screws) are all missing which basically makes this product completely unusable.In their assembly instruction document that came in the box, there is clear indication about those parts.Funny thing is there is a message that says "Missing parts? call THIS NUMBER" ... I called the number and no one picked up ... the machine said there are no agents to take my call.I am going to return this item.

Ok but not solid post. It’s not attached to base as one piece. Comes in two pieces. Always needs tightening. Base is good but the sleeve for umbrella is plastic and doesn’t stay on tight.

Works well. The stand is sturdy enough to keep the umbrella in place. When something works, you don’t notice it, but it has done it’s job. Thank you.

Pictures speak for themselves… Item looks nothing like the photos, is NOT iron, it’s extremely rough and uneven paint. Terrible purchase and insanely overpriced. Shipped, I paid $153 CAD for this thing! Avoid it!!!

Missing the pieces to attach the base to the umbrella stand (a screw and two washers, labelled as pieces D, E, and F in the instructions). Without these the stand is unusable.
