A-Premium Headlight Headlamp Motors Replacement for Pontiac Firebird 1993-1997 Left and Right 2-PC Set

The originals and this one have plastic gears. The originals are sealed units so you can not change gears. This one has 3 screws, able to change to a brass gear before I put it in. Takes about 30 minutes to change out. pretty easy. Works perfect

simple to install, manually raise headlight, remove four Philip screws two on each side of trim, remove trim, remove 12 volt plug, remove linkage that operates headlight assembly. assembly will fall so use a small bungee to keep assembly up and out of the way. remove three 10mm nuts and remove bolts, remove operator. reinstall in reverse order. 10mm nuts can fall easily and not be found, use some mastic or something sticky to keep in place on the box end of 10mm wrench.

If you are wondering and questioning the price I'll tell ya this is no different than the original motor. Can't tell you how long it'll last but I'm very happy with it. Works perfectly, quiet and doesn't seem to run as rough as the original motor it replaced. I keep saying original because this is the first time I've had to replace one as my car only has 45,000 miles on it.

Stopped working like it should. Motor keeps going after headlamp closes. Manual crank barely works. And it’s only been 3 months. Amazon says no refunds or exchanges….

So far so good! It works and sounds just like OEM part. The gearing is just as fast and does not grind.

I haven't installed it yet but it seems to be well constructed with quality materials.Update: finally installed and was happy that my headlight wasn't making that loud, embarrassing, hear it a block away, buzzing sound anymore. Nice, smooth, QUIET operation.

Installed just like the original one. Works great.
