I have been using a homemade bench vise for my ski tuning for many years and finally bought a decent vise...I wish I would have done this a long time ago! These attach easily to my work bench, hold the skis perfectly in place and have all the features I need to tune and wax my skis, which I do several times a season. I would recommend these and I would buy the same ones again

I got these to do my own wax and they work great for holding my snowboard and skis upright. The clamp for edge work is solid and the rubber grips on top keep the board from slipping. However, the bolt used to adjust the clamp is just slightly too short. I have had it come off on a few occasions but I don’t think it renders a lower rating because it’s just something I didn’t expect. Must have for DIY snow waxers.

I was going to buy another vise but it wouldn’t arrive on time before a big ski trip and ran across this one...SO GLAD I DID!This is a superb vise, it’s metal, sturdy, wide for skis or snowboard, holds both flat or at an angle. It’s nice it’s wide as you can actually rest 2 skis flat on it. I ripped through 3 pairs of skis and a snowboard in no time—edges & waxing. LOVE THESE VISES! Even put them in my suitcase for the trip as so light just in case.Side note: I spent a chunk of change on a racewax tuning kit and it was awesome as well...great small company and the owner really knows his stuff on tuning.

These vices are great for anyone looking to tune their own equipment at home or on the move. One of the key things about these vices that make them superior are the ability to "slide" the tightening knob forward/backward so you can fit and tighten these onto really any surface. I tune my own gear in a small city apartment and bring these wherever I go - hotel rooms, airBnb, at the resort. Super grippy, high quality build, couldn't have hoped for anything better!

When doing skis, you either have to move the ski fore/aft to apply sufficient pressure when scraping wax or else you need to figure out a way to tie the bindings to something.

I bought this vice for home use. My family all has snowboards and I usually take them in to get waxed at the local shop. I decided to start waxing the snowboards on my own. This device made that job so easy! Are they a little pricey? Maybe. But having the right tool for the job makes all the difference! I highly recommend.

I bought these after trying to wax two snowboards using nothing other than some cardboard underneath. It was difficult because you have to apply a good amount of pressure on the brushes to really do a good job. Without these, my boards were moving around and it made it hard to brush the front and back tips. These clamps solved those issues. They clamped onto the edge of my kitchen counter without issues, and what I like is that they have rubber at the bottom to not scratch the surface (you can add more cushion pads if you are afraid of damaging your counters or table). They also have rubber where the boards lay stopping the boards from sliding around. Made my second waxing experience significantly easier. I highly recommend these clamps for anyone needing to wax their snowboards or skis.
