Customer Review of the Full Body Foam Rolling DVD
I recently purchased the Full Body Foam Rolling DVD from Epitome Fitness. Foam rollers are very popular these days, and I have been using various rollers for years now. And while I have always recovered better from workouts from using foam rollers, I didn’t realize how much more I could be getting from my Fitness Foam Roller. This DVD opened my eyes to a whole world of benefits that are to be had when one uses a fitness foam roller the right way.I used to simply put my foam roller on the ground and go through a very basic sequence of rolling various body parts. After watching the Fully Body Foam Rolling DVD, though, I now have a routine to follow that dramatically improves recovery from the toughest workouts. I even use some of the routines that I learned from the DVD prior to long runs, to loosen up and avoid injuries.The video and audio is top notch, and the instructor on the video really knows her stuff. I wasn’t familiar with the instructor, Amanda Edell, prior to watching this DVD. Apparently, she is a well known fitness expert, and that expertise really shows on this instructional DVD. I never knew how effective foam rolling exercises could be, but Amanda shows tons of exercises and routines that any athlete can use as part of their workout and recovery routines.Using a foam roller only really offers recuperative benefits if you use it the right way. This DVD takes all of the guess work out of foam rolling, and actually makes using a foam roller enjoyable and fun.Epitome Fitness helps to take recuperative foam rolling to a whole new level with this DVD. If you are at all interested in recovering better from hard workouts or eliminating muscle pain, I highly recommend that you add the Full Body Foam Rolling DVD to your collection of fitness/workout gear.

Nothing new; suspect advice
If you are an active athlete, you probably know most of these techniques. Too much repetition of the same techniques (which one can easily find on YouTube), sales pitches in the DVD for other items, and even some suspect advice (foam rollers to break up the fat tissues, so you can lose the cellulite; putting the foam roller along the spine, and so on - seems to be bad advice, though they say one should stop if there is pain). (The only thing I learned was to do the foam roller for about 2 minutes on each muscle group, or about 10 times per muscle group - again, similar info is easily available on the web). I could say this is suitable for absolute newbies because of the mainstream foam-rolling methods, but then newbies may end up hurting themselves with a hard roller pressing along the spine, or expecting to lose weight/cellulite through foam-rolling rather than making lifestyle changes.UPDATE: Customer service contacted me and they decided to give a full refund based on their policy. So I am updating my review from 1 to 3 stars - 5 stars for excellent after-sales service, and honoring their guarantee. After reading other reviews, I am inclined to think this video is fine for people new to foam rolling and they may certainly benefit from it. The rolling advice is fine, but I will still be cautious about cellulite reduction claims or placing a roller along the spine, unless it is a soft roller, for example, as in MELT techniques.

😩 Can't use if you have fibromyalgia!
Very disappointed! I have fibromyalgia, I was thinking this would help my pain. But in the DVD it said not to use this if you have fibromyalgia. So now I have this DVD and I can't use it! I really wish that would of been the description and that information so I would of known not to buy it 😩😢I would of never bought this if I knew that!!

so I'm satisfied with that part of it
This DVD does what it is supposed to. She demonstrates how to correctly roll the differenct muscle groups, so I'm satisfied with that part of it. I did thiink it odd, tho, and this is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5, that she didn't do the calves at all. I'm using the roller to help with vuilt-up tension in my whole right leg from hip arthritis to patellar tendinitis, and according to book I have on patellar tendinitis you need to roll the calves as well because they also build up tension. So unless I missed it somehow, this would be my only critique on this DVD.

Only for young, hard core athletes
This is a 15 minute video masquerading as a 40 minute video. In other words, she does one fairly comprehensive overview of the methods for rolling parts of your body but then the segment is repeated three times. She touches the major muscle groups for elite athletes but not much for older individuals who have pain in the hands, wrists, ankles, toes, facial muscles etc. I definitely would not spend $20 on this video.
