l/d Liver Care Dry Dog Food

This top quality dog food has made all the difference for my dog with liver shunts. My dog is a medium sized Havanese and the fkibble is proabably 5-7 mm in diameter and about 3-4 mm thick. My dog has gone from being sick on a weekly basis, to it being a rare occasion. He has been able to gain weight and flourish— if anything a little too well. (That is NOT a complaint in his case.) This food is an effective way to safely feed a dog with liver struggles. It has literally been a life saver for my dog. He digests it well, his BM’s have improved, and he is okay with the taste. It’s not his favorite, but he eats it anyway. His liver function tests improved greatly as he has used this food.

Dr. suggested that we use this brand for our dog liver problem however the cost was really over priced. I’m sure this was a good product but we discontinued it with our dog. No increase in liver problems.

We thought our dog was going to starve to death. He had liver failure and refused to eat, so as a last ditch effort we gave him this food and he has finished his food every day since! Between Denamarin and this food and lots of prayers, the dog’s liver levels are miraculously back to normal 18 months later. We’re not sure what caused the liver failure, but the vet said he’s never seen a dog come back from that level of damage.

Our little dog ate a little bit of this Diet Liver Care dog food when we first opened the bag. Now she has a hard time eating it.

For smaller breed dogs like my miniature dachshund and chiweenie, the size of each piece of food was a little too large, especially for my senior dog with failing teeth who needed a liver support food in the first place. I also wish this food came in a smaller bag size since I’d rather pay for a smaller quantity. My dogs found the flavor to be acceptable, but not especially enticing. It does also have a scent, but it was not overpowering.

My dog tested positive for the copper toxicosis gene. That means he is predisposed toward developing copper toxicity. That could have and would have killed him. I had administered the embark test to him to verify his breeding not knowing that it also tested for a number of health issues. When the results came in I immediately had him tested to see if he already had it. Thankfully he tested negative. I immediately changed his diet. No more sweet potatoes for him. No more organ meat either. I did a review of everything he was eating. Everyone who lives with a treasured dog or cat should give the embark test to them. I’m glad I did. I found this dry food which is geared toward dogs who need a very low copper diet.l

Their liver enzymes DID go down because they stopped eating and lost weight .

El costal llegó en perfectas condiciones pero si debes de considerar que el envío es por medio de estafeta, por lo tanto tardará más en llegar (para que consideren dosificar el alimento que aún le reste a tu mascota). Me llegó en 4 días.

Excelente producto, mi hija está enferma del hígado y le a caido bien el alimento
