Tom King continues a remarkable run with Batman
I have mixed feelings about this volume. On the one hand, I still think Tom King's run of Batman may well be the very best thing going on in comic books right now: beautiful, clever art and brilliant writing. This volume included several sections devoted to the main "Bane" storyline. I'll give this section an A- There is extra credit in there for some creative efforts in the writing (use of a Shakespeare poem throughout), but this section of the story flagged a bit. It was very good, mind you, just not as good as the rest of this series has been.Where I think the volume really stood out, ironically, is in the vignette stand-alone stories. These were simply beautifully drawn and told.I found the whole book extraordinarily well done, though perhaps not up to the standards of the very best book in the series. Highly recommended.

Really good
I really liked a Father's day short comic at the end. One of my favorite aspects of Batman is his relationship with Alfred and until this comic I've never seen Father's day reference before. A lot of people don't understand that one of the reasons why Batman is great is because of the backup that Alfred provides him and that he also raised him.

Unfinished
A good read. More tremendous art. Otto Schmidt is a very talented guest artist. You only get 3 comics from Tom King's main storyline. That story deals with the Penguin and has some great moments and a cliffhanger. Then it's an Annual and Secret Files issue to follow. The Detective Chimp story is a good one.

Great read
I'm a big Batman fan, and everything in rebirth has been great. Including this one. I will continue to read all of the trades that are in the rebirth series.

Great price and book was in great shape!
My son collects Batman novels and loves this series. These are much cheaper here than he can get them in any store around here and they were in great shape!

Great Writing, But Setup Without Substance
A note of caution for buyers that other reviews have flagged: there is very little bang for your buck in this volume. There are a few short issues focusing on the Penguin, and Batman's continued descent as Bane escalates his mind games, and these are great--well written and beautifully drawn. But these ultimately lead nowhere in this volume and are capped with a bunch of single issue stories. Readers really would have been better served if these were lumped in with the prior volume and/or the next volume, and it seems there is very little to justify this as a standalone TPB. I'm not sure if it was the publisher's decision, or if it's purely based on timing of the underlying issues, but it's hard to recommend buying this as its own volume unless you're determined to continue filling out a collection. There are glimmers good moments and stories here to be sure, but this is easily the weakest volume in the run, just based on how the stories were diluted to make up the volume.

Piorou bem
O tempo não fez bem a essa série. Já estou um pouco cansado do que Tom King, genial, está fazendo. Espero que o próximo volume esteja melhor. A arte, no entanto, soberba.

Reasonable but damaged
Generally I enjoyed this book; story is ok but below the standard set by the New 52 run and artwork is a little inconsistent. Unfortunately, my main disappointment was in the state of the book. The cover for some reason doesn't reach the full width of the pages (a very minor grumble) but worse was that ~5 pages were ripped. Easy to look past the damage but not what you expect to receive.
