Do the bags come filled or do you need to fill them yourself?

The bags come pre-filled but don’t forget to double stitch them, as I’ve found that no company properly seals their bags.

I would assume they can be spot cleaned, but I would not put them in the washer/dryer.

how much does the entire set weigh?

With bean bags, each carrying case weighs about 16 pounds but anyone age 10 and over should have no problem carrying them. Mine weigh about five pounds more each since I added plywood to the bottom (they still fold nicely into carrying case). The addition of plywood prevents the bags from bouncing. I found that w/o plywood the bouncing effect renders the game almost useless since that’s the down side to aluminum. The upside is that this set will never rot! I am very happy with this modified set and plan on buying one more. Also, don’t forget to double stitch the bags - I’ve found that no company ever seals their bags properly.

What are bags filled with? I've seen reviews on another site that say filled with sand.

Not sand. Not sure what the filling is made of. They are like very small pebbles.
