Rubbermaid Commercial Upright Dust Pan, Black, FG253104BLA

I returned this item. The front edge of the pan doesn't sit exactly flush with the floor, so very small particles get swept underneath, not into the pan. If they had installed a rubber edge on the front, or inclined the front of the pan, it would work better. The pan is otherwise well made and sturdy, but Doesn't work for small particles. If your looking for a broom there is none with this item.

Do not buy this product. I was so disappointed and would return it but not sure how. the plastic is light weight and bows up on the pan so that when you sweep, everything goes right underneath the pan. Totally worthless. If the maker has a way to have me return this without paying shipping, I would do so in a second. Very very disappointed.

after 2 weeks the front edge warped and thr trash went under it I returned it I though Rubbermaid was a good brand

Seems durable. Feels like it should last forever. The handle is long enough, and I like that there's a recess at the back of the scoop part, to allow your fingers to more easily upend the scoop into the trash. With all the other dust pans I've used, they didn't have this feature and I'm glad it's there.It has a tendency to unscrew itself. All dust pans I've ever used have done this, so I don't really consider it a problem. You would think they would come up with some sort of way to positively fasten the pan and handle together, though.

The dust pan pictured has a rubber strip that runs along the lip. The one I received does not and it's the reason why I ordered this over others.

Hi, I have some health problems and arthritis in my neck But I suspect there are a lot of people who have neck problems with computers and smart phones being used so much. Occupational Therapist suggested using this to help pick up dog bowls on the floor and using it for other low items that are placed or fall on the floor and need to be lifted, DVDs, CDs and place those items a little higher on a counter or shelf. Should conserve some energy, big one for the dogs. I am sure there will be other items this will help me with, shoes, socks, fallen books.....,

This dustpan saves the person who is sweeping from having to bend over to pick up a dust pan from the floor. I can sweep and empty the dustpan into the trashcan without ever bending over. This is especially important to me because I have a bad back. I cannot say this dustpan makes me enjoy sweeping but I sure do not dread it like I did before I got this dustpan. A wonderful product and so easy to use.

Since I have 3 dogs and constant "in and out" of the house daily, controlling the dog hair is a problem. The dust pan allows me to sweep up loose hair and control it in the pan until dumping. Love, love it!!!
