The beautiful cover of the book caught my attention and drew me inside. The story is gentle and real and tells a harsh truth with grace. It made me think about the plight of cows in these modern times and wish that they could all have Priya's life as a respected and cared for creature in this human world.

I am an animal lover, yet, I have never really 'known' any cows, until Priya! What a gift, to have the emotions and sensitivities of a sweet mother cow, reveal her sentience in this beautifully illustrated book for children and adults alike. I'm so grateful to have been drawn in by Through the Eyes of Priya's beautiful cover. I can't wait to return to Boston to read this to my grandson, Liam, who is attracted to beautiful pictures of people and animals. He is a bright little boy and Priya's story has many lessons that I want him to know, early in his life. Thank you, Carole Davey and Deborah Henning!

Guess I'm an old weepy kinda guy, but this book was given to my wife. She'd left it on the kitchen table. I glanced at it while she was away and ended up not being able to put it down. I cried with sorrow; I cried with joy. It has a wonderfully happy ending. But, having my sensitivities raised about cows and their plight was consciousness expanding. To the author, illustrator, and editor: THANK YOU. Beautiful.

The illustrations are captivating, whimsical and children are absolutely fascinated by the depictions of the characters. The fact that its a true story makes this publication a home run. 5 Stars all around.
