Great fun building the kit and finishing the cabinet
Great fun building the kit and finishing the cabinet. I added the ESPE01 kit from Europe to increase the range by two octaves and improve the linearity of the pitch field. Even the tone was improved. I added a volume control to enable adjusting the output from line input level to guitar amp input level. I think Dr. Moog intended this to be a tinkerers kit. This is great nerd fun, but be warned that this is the hardest instrument in the world to play. You can't breath deep, sway, shake, or make any unintended movements if you want to actually make music and not science fiction movie noises. The kit comes with beginner lessons and several songs by Clara Rockmore for inspiration on a DVD.

Misrepresentation of the Product
Misrepresentation -The advertised price is that of an EtherWave Standard, the photo shows an EtherWave Plus control panel and the circuit board from a fifteen year old Big Briar theremin which had issues. What exactly are they selling?

Bewarned
Spend $50 more for a fully assembled product. The assembly is not that simple. All six pots need to be soldered to the board, as are the two wiring harnesses. The cabinet also needs to be finished. The assembly instruction is very confusion (i.e., poor). The looped antenna did not quite align - had to bend it to fit.

arived promptly and was very easy to assemble. Worked perfect, I have already been able to play it with some degree of sucsess as I also play the violin. I have always wanted to own and play a theremin and I would advise anyone who likes this insterment to get this it is so much fun, you`ll not regret it. P.S. Also makes a great burgler alarm! Ha.Ha
