Yes, I use mine in a 15 amp cigarette socket without any problems. The manufacturer's instructions say "For use with 12-volt DC power outlets rated 15 amps or higher. Do not use with older 8 amp cigarette lighter socket".

Very good within 1psi, but I still check with a separate independent pressure gauge, but that's me
