This device helped me connect my laptop to my Dell monitor. Works as good as a more expensive docking station, with no muss or fuss!

Works perfectly! Currently doing a massive Server Migration for a large company and wanted to have a back up monitor in the event there was not one available at that locations I am scheduled to work at. Had to do some research on VGA-to-HDMI adapters and tried this one. I plugged into the server and everything came up perfectly. Connectivity and Fit are great. The housing is made of plastic. Durability-wise, we will see over time.

Works exactly what I needed it to do on an old, screen less, windows XP laptop. I have an XP dell laptop from 2006. Screen was missing so I bought this because the laptop doesn't have an HDMI port and I decided why not use it as a all in one machine hooked to a TV screen? Behold: a keyboardtop. Tip: if potentially it isn't working for you, look at your computer keyboard. Some systems require you to hit FN+f2, or some similar key that will move the signal from your internal screen to the adapter. Your laptop/PC will need the old school classic blue (usually blue) vga port to use this, and a functional USB port that is always free because the convertor is powered by that USB.

I installed this adapter a few hours ago. It was plug-and-play with a 60-second install... and immediately began working. My PC's VGA output (and PC audio) were sent to the HDMI-port of a cheap 1366x786 TV --- serving as the primary monitor of my Windows 7 system. The transmitted image has great color and resolution --- AND Windows treats it as 1920x1080. Yes - this TV is actually working in a higher-definition than its specified limitation --- a nice surprise. I've noticed a minor problem --- the broadcast image is SLIGHTLY bigger than the TV screen. A few pixels surrounding the image are thus off-screen. Neither my NVIDIA tools or my Windows 7 system offer a solution... not without changing to a lower resolution. Despite that, the screen is workable, icons on my desktop are functional, and I am happy with this product.

Never thought I would see the day! Window XP bare metal install on my ultra wide monitor through HDMI! This old Dell Optilex is still kicking thanks to this great little converter. Oh and the sound works too! So easy to use. I literally just plugged it in. XP identifies it as a USB audio device and it functions great. It won't display my bios screen so I can't get to to my ventoy USB drive boot screen. So I can't test Linux. I've read that video works but sound isn't supported.

Easy to connect. Works great. Used this to connect a second monitor for extended screen on my desktop computer.

Easy connection. Not a super long cable, but it was sufficient for my purpose. Was replacing a smaller monitor on a wall mount with a much larger flat panel smart TV. Didn't care about the smart part, just needed big, light, cheapish. This inexpensive adapter allowed me to connect the new screen to a Windows XP desktop PC that only had VGA output. In this case the USB port I used on the computer was sufficient to power the adapter. Outputting 1920x1080 nice and clear. It did NOT auto-recognize the resolution, but I was able to manually change it. This is likely a limitation of the computer, but don't assume it isn't working if the resolution isn't right- try adjusting it. The previous monitor (which was slightly larger and a lot wider than the original) was displaying with black bars on the sides because the one who installed it didn't know to (or maybe know how to) change it in Windows. Either way, this helped make my customer happy and got a huge screen working on her giant quilting machine.

I got this for my wife to take to work she does in home health care and she has an older laptop with a vga port her clients dont often have a lot of shows they can still afford to watch so while my wife is on the clock she will set up her laptop and let her clients watch some shows as she woks using this item to hook the HDMI to her laptop it works very well and for the cost I think it is a good buy 10 out of 10

Ho voluto acquistare questo adattatore da VGA a HDMI per adattare un vecchio Pc con uscita Video VGA, ad un nuovo schermo con ingresso HDMI. Il prodotto è arrivato nei tempi stabiliti grazie alla Logistica Amazon, nell'imballaggio Amazon. È confezionato all'interno di una busta in plastica con le caratteristiche tecniche del prodotto. L'adattatore è in plastica ma comunque molto robusto. Il cavo è flessibile, quindi molto versatile nell'installazione su qualsiasi pc. I connettori dorati consentono invece una migliore stabilità dell'immagine. Per l'installazione è stato veramente facile: una volta collegato il connettore VGA e il connettore USB al PC, ho preso un cavo HDMI che avevo e mi sono agganciato tra l'adattatore e il TV con presa HDMI. Tutto ha funzionato bene e correttamente, senza disturbi o fastidi visivi. Oltre il Video viene trasmesso anche l'Audio tramite la porta Usb, direi quindi un'ottima soluzione tutto in uno. La cosa che mi è piaciuta di più è sicuramente la sua facilità di utilizzo e installazione. Con un attimo sono riuscito a collegare un vecchio dispositivo VGA con uno HDMI, risolvendo il problema dell'acquisto di un monitor con ingresso VGA. La cosa che mi è piaciuta di meno è invece l'impossibilità di utilizzarlo anche nella direzione opposta, cioè da HDMI a VGA. In questo caso sarà necessario avere un adattatore diverso da questo. Quindi consiglio l'acquisto di questo adattatore, anche soprattutto il rapporto qualità prezzo. Un ottimo adattatore da VGA a HDMI. Per questo il mio voto complessivo è 5 stelle. Ich habe ein altes Notebook mit VGA-Ausgang, das ich nur für Vorträge nutze. Um die Bilddaten auf einen Beamer zu bekommen, ist eine HDMI-Anschluss sehr wichtig. Der erworbene Artikel ermöglicht als Adapter den Anschluss an meinen VGA-Ausgang und den HDMI-Anschluss (auch über Verlängerungskabel) am Beamer. Der Adapter funktioniert super, mit Bild und Ton! Der Ton wird über einen integrierten USB-Anschluss für das Notebook in den HDMI-Anschluss eingefügt. War ich zunächst etwas skeptisch, bin Ich jetzt sehr zufrieden. Der Adapter tut, was ich von ihm erwartet hatte...
