A fantastic look at the underlying principles of success both on and off the mats.
This is not a book about Brazilian jiu jitsu techniques. It's bigger than that. It's a fun, easy-to-read dissection of many of the underlying principles needed to achieve elite levels of performance in jiu jitsu as well as life broadly. The author tells entertaining stories of successful people in the jiu jitsu field, and breaks down many of the foundational underpinnings that enables their success. As an avid jiu jitsu practitioner and a big fan of the "self-help" genre, I have very much enjoyed the read. The principles are sound, evidence-backed, and applicable to all areas of life. I would highly recommend this book to anyone considering it.

Very good, useful book
I have really enjoyed this book and have highlighted and bookmarked something in nearly every chapter to refer back to in time to reinforce knowledge and inspiration. There are a lot of useful nuggets that apply to grappling and life in general. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practioners will certainly appreciate this book but I think others would enjoy and benefit from the universal life lessons offered. In summary, a good quick read that I‘ll revisit again and again.

The best Jiu Jitsu motivation book I have ever read.
This book is right up there as one of the best books related to Jiu Jitsu that I have ever read. Not only does it have stories of how the big names in the industry have prevailed, it relates their situations to real life psychological processes. This makes the book any easy read and you are able to read the book a chapter at a time, so it is great for people with busy lifestyles. If you are a BJJ practitioner or just someone to get an edge in the normal world, I highly stress that you need to read this book.

Great book on Jiu-Jitsu!
Just finished my copy and Im thoroughly impressed. This book has altered the way I view Jiu-Jitsu, for the better. The author delineated the backstories of numerous successful practitioners, instructors, entusiasts etc... each unique and interesting in their own way. Useful words of wisdom were prevalent as well, that can be related to every modality of life. I will be re-reading this book at least annually as well as, recommeding it to many others. Thank you for the read!

Very amateur
The details on big names in jiu jitsu are very thin. I was hoping for a lot more insight as to the "hows" that you see on the back cover. Rather than learning "how" someone like Joe Rogan has become so successful at being a comedian, martial artist, podcaster, influencer, etc. you get "that". Most of the this book reads like a collection of motivational instagram posts - i.e. shallow and easy to write. Unfortunate as I expected a lot more from a book with a title like this.
