Ideal to set down from 24 volts to 12 volts.
Used one of these to reduce voltage from 24 volts to 12 volts on my 3d printer to run a different fan. Works well. It was also possible to find a 3d printed case on a well known website for stl files which worked perfectly. Good value for money.

Compact solution to drop 24v to 12v/5v for my Noctua Upgrade
Worked great when upgrading the fans on my Ender 3 V2. Take time to dial in the required voltage correctly. Twin output is useful if running more than one fan off the Buck or in my case sending the 12v output off to a Micro USB buck to power a Raspberry Pi.It states an input voltage of 23v but working fine with the 24v input on my printer. All 5 working great, no duds.

Working great 2 weeks in
Does what it says, no duds in the 5 pack.I did however want the cut solder versions, but the adjustable pot only ones take a few seconds to set with a multimeter, so not a huge loss.

It works
I am using this as a fan speed controller because with other PWM controllers, the fan is still noisy and additionally there is a high-pitch humming. But not with this! Now it is silent like the snowfall and absolutely worth it!

Good product, but poor failure rates
Of the 4 I've tried to use, 2 worked fine, but 2 have gone up in smoke. One when adjusting the output voltage and the other when testing a load.

not a good regulator
I recently purchased the MP1584EN Ultra Small DC-DC 3A Power Step-Down Adjustable Module, and I was disappointed with its performance. While it is compact and easy to wire up, I found the output voltage regulation to be inconsistent, especially under load. The module struggled to maintain stable voltage (24v in with 12v out @ 150ma), the voltage fluctuated between 9 - 12v, causing issues with my sensitive electronics. As the quoted value of 3amp is not quite up to scratch. . BTW I did try all 5 units with similar results. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this module for critical applications, as it failed to deliver reliable performance

Step down
Excellent device. Easy to setup!!

Easily fried, be careful
Not sure about these… 2 of them fried themselves (one dramatically up in smoke). As others have noted it seems this will happen if you connect them to power without a load present - but how are you supposed to check the output voltage before safely connecting them to a device?
