The Bath and Body Book: DIY Bath Bombs, Bath Salts, Body Butter and Body Scrubs Kindle Edition

I found I've only needed the "Basic Bath Bomb" recipe. I switch out one tablespoon of vegetable oil with different fragrance or essential oils. I leave the coloring (I use gel colors from the cake decorating section in our local grocery store) until last and if the batch seems too moist I just add a bit of corn starch (for whatever reason it seems to stop the reaction (i.e. expansion)). It took several batches to get the desired results and I've tried other recipes from other books but I keep coming back to this one. This recipe makes about six 2.5" bath bombs.Ni

I was looking for a few recipes of my favorite scents and found them in this book. I will be using them over and over.

This book covers all areas of the body with very nice ingredients for butters, scrubs and bath works. It makes me want to get started making something asap. Written very nicely and professionally.

I would have liked to have had more explanations as to what the various oil combinations are good for...ie.antibacterial scrub, anti-inflammatory. Only a few had that added information. If there would have been more information on each recipe like that, I would have given it 5 stars. Otherwise, excellent recipes and read. Well laid out.

I like that most recipes are easy to follow. With that being said, some give measurements in cups, tablespoons or teaspoons and others are in ml and grams. There are some conversion charts to make larger batches, but some look as if it may be for 2 uses (body butter). The misspelled words are a real turn off.

Although I haven't made any of the recipes yet, I have read books and watched videos on the subject. This will be my primary source of info when actually making my gifts. Currently gathering ingredients and packaging items...half the fun!
