I have bought these vent shades for other vehicles and the actually installed inside the window well. It took a few minutes and attempts to realize these stick to the door frame. The only thing holding it is the adhesive strip which appears to have super strong hold. Only time will tell. I like the vent shade so I can leave the window “cracked” for ventilation in summer and in rain-driving. On the Escape I noticed on the lower front edge there is still a bit of window edge not covered (or possibly I installed incorrectly-you don’t get a second try with the adhesive). Not sure it water will come in in that area if driving in rain. This could be a design flaw. Time will tell on that, too. I like the overall look as well, and very pleased so far. Suggest you mark your installation points before adhering, and make sure the strips are at the same level on both windows on each side—makes a more professional look. Also use alcohol wipe on door area before adhering. Only downside was delayed delivery AFTER I paid faster delivery fees.

This looks like a great product but I ordered a set for my 2012 Ford escape and the ones I got the fronts are 3 inches too long and the backs look like that would fit right but these does not fit my car sadly
