Kingston Brass DTL5305A0 Grid Tub Drain Kit, Matte Black

We were excited to find a matte black drain cover when we remodeled our bathroom, and for the price, we figured it'd be great. Kingston Brass is a decent company!I turned on the shower yesterday and the paint peeled off. Even touching it makes it come off. It's such a disappointment because it matched perfectly with the rest of our bathtub trim. Now we've got to find a new one that doesn't have this happen.

I bought this for my guest bathroom remodel and paid my plumber to install it.The tub was used only twice, yet Immediately the matte black paint peeled off to expose a shiny blackish metal. I mean the paint just came off like nail polish in clumps with a cloth. It is a really really bad fixture!Now i have to replace the entire thing and pay the plumber again! - do you now how much plumbers charge?What an absolute waste of money! I am so furious

Finish peeling after 15 uses. Bought for a bathroom renovation. New tub, toilet, walls, tile etc.....Tub used less than 15 times. 10 showers and maybe 5 colloidal oatmeal baths over 11 months (wasn’t actually installed till April, so it’s been in use for 8 months).Haven’t even had to clean it.Noticed today that the black finish is peeling off the drain.

Replaced my old brass fittings. On the packaging it recommends thread sealant and it doesn't hurt to have an install wrench. Was installing the drain shoe and it was too large for my bathtub at first due to the plastic adapter, once the plastic adapter was unscrewed from the shoe it was easy to install and fit perfectly.

Great quality, feels good in hand. Matte black. As expected. Haven’t installed yet so can’t speak to this but pretty straight forward on how to.

Installed easily. Came with plastic threaded sleeve for multiple size applications. Great value for the quality. Has been installed and in use for 2 months now. So far so good.

It was so difficult to find black (small) accessories. Have had installed for 1.5 month, will update if any issues

Perfect for the money. I'm satisfied with the quality and has worked well to replace our broken ones
