Big Rigs and great actors. It was good when it first came out and is still just as exciting; What wouldn't i give to drive a Kenworth Conventional. The seller was quick on delivery and well packaged.

A good old movie
Of course I gave it 5 stars, that's what an old simple movie deserves. I saw this when it came out and loved it. Still do. Stop reading this review and just buy it.

Any child from that era knows this film
Reliving a little nostalgia with this film and as a kid I enjoyed it. As an adult, you certainly see the film with new eyes and it didn’t disappoint as it still kept the memories alive whist being a little more hard hitting with a number of sense and very close to the mark so many years ago. It’s a shame that some of this still goes on so many years after the movie was release

Still holds its charm
If you're looking at this you've probably seen the film back in the day. I watched this as a kid in the mid-80s and thought I'd give it a go again. Of course it is dated but still has some 80's charm. Nice looking at all the Mack trucks and life in the late 70's / early 80's.

It’s not how you remember it.
Last saw this film about 40 years ago, when it came out. Decided to rent it on the spur of the moment; inevitably not as good as I remembered it. All characters are two-dimensional, apart from Ali McGraw, who never reaches that depth; why is her character there? You can sense that there was probably a political message buried in there somewhere, but that got lost along the way. I read that Peckinpah’s director’s cut ran to 220, or so, minutes; this version runs to 111 minutes, so clearly there’s a lot of stuff missing and the (Uncut) heading is debatable (the DVD version runs to 105 minutes and is also labelled uncut). All-in-all, a must see for Kristofferson fans, people who like lorries and ... well that’s it really.

Blu-ray review - very average quality but the film itself is ok.
I've seen sharper DVDs than this blu-ray but since I haven't seen this actual film on DVD I can't be certain it's worse. The quality is ok but no scene stands out as having blu-ray sharpness which even on other average blu-rays you normally do. The sound isn't fantastic either. Still the film is ok but unless you're a massive fan of this film you might want to save some money and buy it on DVD
