Such a delight to use! Lovely ergonomic handle which can be held nicely vertically and horizontally. Nice looks compared to others and actually matches the trim of my tank. Magnet is strong enough to clean thoroughly as well as allow me to 'park' it above the waterline magnetising through the trim and glass. Blade is easy to fit and remove. It scrapes hard to remove algae off beautifully. It has a nice clear view of the blade and angled in such a way that I was able to clean below the gravel line and easily see if any gravel was trapped between it and the glass; quick release of the outer handle and it floats beautifully and releases the gravel. Blade is designed so no damage to seals can be made if used correctly. Because of the blade length I was able to get into the edges of my internal filter housing with ease. Scrubber works well and is edge to edge so corners are cleaned well and looks like it won't compress. It may trap sand though as it's quite a fine weave. Outer cloth is soft but firm enough to remove any external dust or fingerprints. Comes in a beautiful box. . I hope they make/start making other colours to match co men tank colours. Fantastic item both functionally and aesthetically and great value for money.

This is a great piece of kit. The only thing I will say up front is read the instructions. For the only reason that it tells you not to bring the two halves together. A combination of very strong magnets and strong velcro means if you do it is really hard to separate them! Top tip - keep them at least 30cm away from one another to stop them attracting and catching you unaware! In use - a plastic or metal blade tip for acrylic or glass tanks, enough flex in the blade head to stop you applying too much pressure and scratching the tank, clever use of velcro rather than hard sponge for the scouring block to give the tank a wipe regularly and a good quality box to keep it all in that will stand up to getting a bit damp. The magnetised cleaning block is a good idea so you don't have to completely reach into the tank and move it around from outside, but in practice if you have tank ornaments or things attached to the tank, you end up doing it from inside anyway. So is a bit of a novelty. However, that isn't an issue with the item, it is just the reality of cleaning an aquarium. I highly recommend this over a 'sponge on a stick' cleaner. Yes, you'll get your hand and arm more wet but 1) It won't break like the stick cleaners, 2) It is far more effective and quick and 3) The blade creates little slithers of algae and chances are your fish will thank you for a totally natural snack. My guppies actually swim along following it having a feeding frenzy. I have a tank by a window and no matter how clean I keep it, I get some green and brown algae on the sun side. But the scraper makes very short work of it and I actually allow some controlled build up now to feed that algae eaters in the tank knowing I can more carefully manage it with the scraper. No, it's probably not anything new design wise, but it is a good product and it deserves praise.

At last something that works, I have a bow fronted aquarium and tried all sorts of items from blades with long handles to rough sponges even a magnetic glass cleaner. The magnet one was the best but took ages to remove stubborn algea. This item slices through algea with ease, what a brilliant time saving product. I could not be happier

Does the job well through the thick glass/acrylic of our large aquarium. Having the leading blade is a nice touch - and worries of scratching the glass with it unfounded. Recommended.

This is a very strong magnet, has a card inside warning not to directly put the magnet together, instead place the card in between. I accidentally did let the magnets touch and it was close to impossible to get them apart! The inside magnet floats if it disconnects. Comes with a plastic blade and metal blade. Cleaned my nano reef well, had some stubborn algae another new magnet failed to touch but this cleared it easily. The magnets came really nicely packaged and I really like the wood effect on the external magnet. The internal magnet is quite slimline so easy to clean around rock work . Have paid a fortune on magnetic cleaners in the past so I am very happy with this. It’s not cheap but it’s definitely not as expensive as many others that are not as good.

Works like a charm, the blade works like butter! Algae comes straight off. It is a big, but with the wood handle matches with my tank, doesn't look an eye some unlike some plastic ones.

Used this just the once and what a fantastic job it did. So much easier than using a long handled device. Tank cleaned in minutes. If you accidently put the 2 magnets together like I did. Use a plastic spatula to separate. Worked a treat.

Ich war skeptisch ob ich wirklich so viel Geld für einen Schweibenwischer/Kratzer ausgeben soll - vor allem nach meinen Erfahrungen mit anderen Produkten, aber an dieser Stelle ein Dankeschön an die ganzen Rezensionen, sonst hätte ich den Kauf nicht gewasgt. In den nun 20 Jahren der Aquaristik habe ich noch nie so einen guten Scheibenreiniger gehabt wie diesen - die Magnete halten bombe, man sollte die beiden Teile wirklich nicht einfach aufeinander legen, gerade durch das "Klettprinzip" in Kombination mit diesen Magneten sind sie nur sehr schwer zu lösen, was wiederum zu einem sehr guten Halt an der Scheibe führt. Und die Klinge kriegt selbst Algen problemlos von der Scheibe wo ich schon mit Bürsten verzweifelt bin. Die Größe S reicht problemlos für mein 160l und für mein 250l Becken aus, ich würde sogar sagen das die M Version wirklich nur für riesige Becken eventuell in Frage kommt. Das Design und die Haptik wirken sehr hochwertig, auch das hier verschiedene Aufsätze enthalten sind (Glasscheibe/Kunststoffscheibe) ist praktisch. Macht nicht den Fehler wie ich und kauft zich Wischer/Schaber, gebt etwas mehr aus und greift zu diesem Produkt und erspart euch eine Menge Ärger und Zeit.

Just bought this magnet cleaner and it works wonderful. Very strong magnet which glides across the glass with ease and doesn’t come apart like our old tank scraper. I would highly highly recommend this aquarium scraper. It also reaches to the very edges of the tank where my other scraper did not. Absolutely worth the money and a great product!

Update: I’ve had this for a year and a half and it’s still great! Only downside is that I have to replace it due to some sanitation issues —not due to the product, but I cannot for the life of me get it clean enough to kill off some sort of bacteria that has infected my tank 3 times. Not sure if maybe it’s the scrubber section? But a 30 minute bleach bath didn’t do the trick. Anyhow, still a good product, and worth the money under the assumption that you’re not replacing it. Like other reviewers, I had never heard of Hygger or seen them in any of my local fish stores, but the solid reviews made me hopeful. Let me just be clear: this product is FANTASTIC for a glass tank. My 30gal tank was in rough shape - green algae, hard water residue and worst of all, red slime algae (cyanobacteria) taking over my glass. The two scrapers I had before (one with a "soft" scraper, one with a "hard" scraper - kinda feels like velcro?) couldn't put a meaningful dent in it. The exterior handle on this product is comfortable, and it covers a decently large area so you're not cleaning like 2 inches at a time. The magnetic grip is super strong but not impossible to separate like some people warned. You just twist one side 90 degrees and it slips off. But this also means it's not falling off in the tank. Even if it does, the scraper side FLOATS! My last scraper would sink into the substrate and then you have to clean it thoroughly so you're not accidentally scratching the glass with tiny bits of substrate. Not a problem here. The scraper itself did a pretty good job breaking up the newer algae growths and hard water residue. It wasn't quite tough enough to break up the red slime algae, but clicking on the razor blade attachment was very simple and I didn't even get my fingers anywhere near the blade. The blade made relatively quick work of the rest of the algae and the combo of blade and scraper made cleaning a breeze. Finally, my tank is back to a clear quality and I can enjoy my pets again in all their glory. Taking the razor off to store was also very easy and once again - did not run into any issues in terms of nicking fingers. Only thing I can think of is that if you have an acrylic tank you might have an issue because it's so effective? (Update to add you can use the plastic scraper provided for acrylic tanks.) A bow front might be a challenge too, not sure as I've never owned one. But for a rectangular glass tank, this is perfect. Definitely worth the price.
