McGraw-Hill Education Firefighter Exams, Third Edition 3rd Edition

I just took the written exam for my local fire department for the second time and passed!!The first time I took the written test I had no idea what to study and failed miserably. This time around I purchased this book as well as 2 others( Norman Hall’s Firefighter Exam Preparation and Barron’s Firefighter Candidate Exams), but I spent most of my time studying this book specifically. Get all three if you can but this one helped me a lot.Every department has a different test and some even offer actual test prep classes. Find out if that’s an option and take it if you can! If not then all I can say is pick up this book (as well as the other two I mentioned )and put in the hours of studying.You got this.Good Luck!!

These practice exams are helpful for pointing you towards areas that need extra studying. I highly recommend taking a practice test first thing, and then reading through the chapters where you miss questions. I took 3-4 of the full-length practice tests and got a 98% on my department test.

Everything you need. Organised and easy to use for whatever state you are testing in.

Good book to use for knowledge in prep exams for firefighting.
