Are these pants light enough/comfortable in hot weather? Or are they heavier?

They are polyester. Kinda warm but not super thick. I wold not wear in hot weather honestly.

I would just go with a small. You sound tiny! They will be wide leg. The band is a stretch. You shouldn't have any problems.
