Most China made jackets have cheap zippers. is this made to last?

Mine has a PGP brand zipper. Looked it up and it's a Chinese brand, no surprise there. It seems well made and looks like brass but I don't know for sure if it is. I bought my jacket in August 2015 and have had no problems with the zipper.
