Terrific Take on a Classic
I have several books by Cathy Yardley, and I love each one. They are well written and have a unique twist to the fairy tales.

Oh what it COULD & should have been!!!
You know, it almost tears my heart out as a reader of romance erotica, having to review such a truly enjoyable and well written adult romance as this one sincerely is...yet being left at its conclusion feeling as though I've got to give the book overall no better than 3-stars. Perhaps I've become somewhat jaded by other, more highly rated authors of the adult romance genre, and grown to expect truely good storys like this one, to be given the length of space neccisary for the authoress to fully complete, and fill-in the couples love story...not to mention not leaving its ending seeming at least somewhat rushed through-out its final several chapters! Without question Ms Yardley is an erotica romance authoress of great talent, and blessed with a wonderful ability to bring classic fairy-tale love storys into the modern era. What was true of 'ravish', her spin on 'sleeping beauty' was here in 'crave' almost even more so, because here, her abilities to pen sexual love scenes show through as being all-but on a par with the likes of Lora Leigh, Chelsie Sinclair, and all to few others my 4 and 5-star reviews would bring attention to! Like some more I've reviewed however, Ms Yardley either needs to pen her works under Avon Black or perhaps Elorah's Cave Moderne, if Avon Red disallows any sex act beyond oral and traditional vaginal coital activity...or just take the chance that a goodly percentage of her fans are not nearly so 'hung-up' sexually as what her love-scenes would seem indicative of. No doubt my own less inhibited and more 'cosmopolitan' tastes for sxual intimacy are much more unrescricted than a goodly percentage of my own age-group, and way more indicitive of the 'lifestyles' being currently pursued by both men and women 20-50, than those somewhat more 'mature'...however, I'd personally think the writing of a modern-day erotic romance story should be reflective of the day in which its been written...and targeted to appeal to both sexes, not to mention those living in the new millenia as opposed to the 1940's or 1950's! And perhaps were it not for the fact within 'crave' the 'heroine' leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination on several occasions that she in fact 'craves' being exposed to and 'taught' all forms of sexual pleasures with her lover, despite being virginally innocent prior to their first lovemaking consumation, without exclusion...and likewise the well established fact that her 'hero', very macho alpha lover gives multiple clear references toward sexual interests that are altogether 'backdoor' directed and unmistakably implied between the two of them, as well as several other practices he teases her imagination with...none of which leaves her the least bit alarmed nor does she find his suggestions whatsoever shocking, but rather all the more curious, and desirous of sharing her feminine body with him in all ways eroticly stimulating and desirable to her experienced older lover! Indeed, in this book once again, as in 'ravish' I found Ms Yardley's exclusion of any but the most non-controvercial sexual norms to be rather unenlightened to say the least, and in reality made what should have been a first class romance novel, all seem rather mundane and second rate...particularly as so much more had truely been hinted at, and especially in a case such as the relationship being described in 'crave'! All in all a very good read for those with somewhat puritanical tastes only...an excellent storyline and quite decently written and described mystery plot, that just seriously needed another hundred pages or therabouts to finish it out properly! Like 'ravish', just a bit of a disappointment from what I'd hoped for. Will I finish the set now with 'enslave' as so long intended? That yet remains to be determined...as I'm not at all certain I can trust it to be all that much less pure raw vanilla than the pair I've now completed. As they say, 'different strokes'...just wish this had been better suited to reflect just a bit of my own!!!

Good story; smut is kinda cheesey
Very interesting twist on the fairy tale. I am fascinated by Cult documentaries so this was right up my alley. It was a good story and the smut parts were okay but got kind of old, started skimming after a while to get back to the storyline. I feel like the ending was anti-climactic but I don't regret buying it. I have also read Ravish (sleeping beauty) by the same author, and have also purchased Enslave but haven't read it yet. I feel like the storytelling of the author is quite unique and the plot is well thought out, but the smut parts start out good but then just get old by the end and seem more cheesy and repetitive.

Stupid
It pits itself as an erotic novel, but I'm pretty sure a horny teenager could have written this. Don't bother.

Lots of good sexy sex
Plot is predictable (as I suppose it should be) writing wasn't bad. Sex scenes were often and gratuitous. Excellent read for the money.

Sensual Erotica
This was really good and explicit erotica. Very descriptive. There were enough scenes to keep your motor running and the plot held my interest as well. Anyone into erotica would enjoy.
