Love Yamaha stands
Like all Yamaha hardware, it's a rock solid product. I was intrigued by the ability to change tension, but I've found that I like it at the lowest tension, and I haven't gone back to mess with that. It isn't light, but it has a very solid feel to it. I'm not too sure about the clutch design, however. It requires a drum key to secure the cymbal. All and all, it's a great stand.

Yamaha direct drive 2 leg hi hat stand
This hi hat snand is just superb, built like a tank and has a great feel to it. Multiple adjustments let you fine tune to your playing style. I like the cymbal locks for the top and bottom hats.. It never loosens during playing plus youve got the really great direct feel which i love about my yamaha direct drive flying dragon double pedal.

It’s a great stand if you’re looking for heavy duty
It’s a great heavy duty stand, may be heavier than necessary, I felt like it was pretty overpriced. Spring adjustment is nice and easy however it seems to adjust itself in the hardware bag.All in all though, Yamaha builds the best stuff.

Best hi hat stand I've ever used
Best hi hat stand I've ever used. I used and still have the pearl eliminator for years which was a good stand too. I had the dw 9000(9500) 2 leg hi hat stand for a while but traded it in toward this. It was too strong and actually popped my hats inside out once. This is my fav of the three. Splashes are breeze with this I can even do them ez heel down. Very responsive action and nice build quality while still being somewhat on the light side. Highly recommend it.

Very impressive
I purchased this in the direct drive version. I couldn't be more impressed. I have the two legged version. Most of the time I have the legs folded up and mounted to a 2nd bass drum. But lately I have used the legs and played with one bass drum. I have had no issues with it bouncing around as it is solid and smooth in operation. Some folks state that it moves around too much. My opinion is you might need to adjust something then, I also use 15" hiahts! They have mass to them. I haven't had to use the spikes either and so far there has been no need to. One other guy here states that the footboard is all sloppy or loose? I honestly can't say what he's got, but this one is super rock solid and does not move at all , and only up or down with strict movement from my foot. Tighter than any chain system I have ever owned. If I had any criticism, Yamaha doesn't bother to make a gig bag for it like they did with their Flying Dragon series, I still have. Yamaha also doesn't provide a drum key either for this hihat or for their drum pedals. They do have a gig bag for pedals though, but not the hihat system. The DK15 is the only key too that will fit in this Yamaha hihat key holder. As far as hihat action though, it's very nice indeed!

Excelente pedal
Excelente pedal, Yamaha hace hace un hardware de máxima calidad, su ajuste y suavidad están increíbles, y el traer dos patas lo hace aún más cómodo para instalar y acomodar con los demás atriles
