The blade is what it is. No more, no less. It works.My note is that you don't need a stool to attach it to. I had a small plank of oak lying around and attached it to that. I shaped the nose a little so it doesn't hit the coconut shell, but that's about it. You can just sit on the plank and it works perfectly. Easy to clean and when you are done, you can just put it away with your cutting boards, no need to have a stool with a blade attached taking up space in your kitchen.

Top quality product, easy to install and amazing results, I made a custom frame and fixed it, working like a champ.

This sturdy device did the job to shred the coconut meat, but traditionally these are made longer so that the blade is further away from the anchoring board or bench. Would have been easier to move the coconut around the end if it was longer.
