Great wire overall, insulated very well, easy to cut, crimp. I much rather use this wire indoors instead of outdoors because of how easy it is to cut and crimp. Other wires are super low quality and hard to align wires into rj45 connectors. I strongly recommend this one! Purchased a total of 14 rolls in the past 2 years!

Extremely Stiff cable, was not fun to install 20,000 feet of it. The price is great and it works, but we were fighting this cable every step of the way.

If you've never worked with cat6 shielded cable there is one thing you should be aware of: ANY shielded cable, RG6, RG59, CAT6: they all work as a RF waveguide if the shield is grounded at both ends. Standard CAT5 crimp connectors on both ends-neither end is shielded and may as well use CAT5 cable. Using CAT6 connectors and grounded on both ends will act as an Antenna waveguide so that any NOISE introduced at either end will carry to the OTHER END. In order to make use of the shielded properties of a CAT6 cable-ground only ONE END of the shielded cable by using a punch jack T-568B OR a standard RJ45 connector on one end and a CAT6-METAL SLEEVE RJ45 Connector on one end only. In this manner the shield acts as a shunt for external noise to the ground shield.

It seems to be higher quality than another large 1000' spool that I have used up. This one has a protective shield under the exterior material, a center plastic line and an additional thin copper exposed wire.

I have bought 5000 ft of this before, never had an issue until this last roll. Had to pull out 300 ft of wire on a business application. Tester shows a lot of resistance. Cost me an extra $500 in labor to pull 3x and put in new wire. Do not buy. I do not know what happened but evidently a factory quality control issue. It really is a shame because I have used this underground many times. Cannot take a chance using this again.

I ran this 220ft with power over eathernet to an access point. Thought I was having male fitting or wire issues, but just needed to name the wifi network name/password the same as the base wifi router and it's working like a dream. Have a 500ft run I'm going to put a barrel passive eathernet repeater to help make the extra distance of the run. I'll update my review with the results.

Buyer beware, I bought this cable to run in the walls, it's a tonne of work. Only to find out it's not actually copper, and does not work for CCTV applications that require power over ethernet (POE). Which all 'CAT6' standard should be able to accomodate. Even the cheaper unshielded blue cables are able to do this. Note, when you use this cable, it feels very rigid, thick, and seemingly well insulated. But if its not copper inside, you're just shielding garbage anyway. The "Keyword" you're after in that description is "Cca" which stands for "copper coated aluminium". Basically... NOT COPPER CORE WIRE. Aluminium wire can corrode at the connections overtime, you can put it into AI to get a detailed explanation of the difference, but there's simply too much impedence for the CCTV to carry power over aluminium. And now I have to redo all the wiring in the walls. I suggest avoiding "CCA" at all costs. You might find it okay as a cheap alternative if you were just running it explosed in easy to access locations, but then again, it wasn't cheap at all. I paid $198 AUD for this, and recently got a copper core of same length at $149 AUD elsewhere, and dispite being unshielded it performed a hell lot better. So don't fall for the shielding, aluminium wire is so bad it isn't worth shielding anyway.
