Love this book. I own several Japanese cookbooks and this one is not like the others. There are many stories about foods and artisans in various regions of Japan. Be warned, the recipes don't appear very easy or what you'd usually think of a traditional Japanese food, so I bought this book more so for the stories and further insight into Japanese cooking and culture.

What a crazy sale! A gorgeous hardcover inside and out. Not a strict COOKBOOK, as it's main priority is not exactly to offer recipes (although it does give many, with photos). It's more about the culture and agriculture of food, featuring beautiful exposes on chef artisans around Japan. Can't wait to read it all!
