The MOTION HIGH TECH collection is designed to ensure correct fit and accurate compression. Sigvaris products fit various lifestyles and are best suited for those with vein issues, edema, stasis, skin changes, and for those who have had or will be having a vein procedure. How does graduated compression therapy help with the management of venous problems? As a person walks, the contraction and relaxation of the calf muscles around the veins aid in moving blood toward the heart. The external graduated compression of Sigvaris socks and stockings act as a layer of muscle by gently squeezing the stretched vein walls together, allowing the valves to close. The cavity of the vein is reduced, thereby restoring blood flow to a normal state and aiding overall circulation. By compressing the limb with graduated compression - strongest at the ankle and decreasing going up the leg - the compression stocking helps the venous return, decreases venous pressure, venous stasis, reduces edema and management of venous walls, and relieves aching and heavy legs by aiding the body in moving blood up the leg, against the pull of gravity. To be most effective, these socks should be put on at the start of your day and removed before you go to bed. About Sigvaris: Sigvaris compression solutions help you to go easily through your day, feeling strong and secure.

Compression Socks.
First try at this brand/style of compression socks. Comfy to wear. After 12 or so hours it gets tight, but otherwise it is a winner.

Comfortable
I was told recently to wear compression socks by my vascular doctor. They gave me the option of buying them there for $90 or I could ordered them myself and they gave me the catalog that they use. This brand was in the catalog, so I figured it had to be a good sock and Amazon just happened to have it. The socks are labeled right and left and they have a very thick cushioned sole. They seem to stay up well for the first day of wear, but if you wear them a second day, they start to slip down a bit by the end of the day. Not like all the way down, but you can tell they are loosening up. I purchased some sock glue on Amazon and it works great to keep them in place if I wear them more than one day without washing them. They are very comfortable and they’re available in a wide calf, which is harder to find. The only thing that bothers me a bit, is the pattern design of the light colored material in the sock. It actually leaves indentations on my skin. It’s not part of the material, it’s like it was added on after, so it isn’t smooth and the pressure of the sock pushes the design into your calf. I’m not sure if the design is supposed to be helpful or if it’s just a design.Basically, the socks do the job and are well made and have held up to washing and wearing over the last month. The doctor told me today that compression socks are only good for about six months before the start to wear out. Good to know.

Great option for versatile compression sock
Like that these serves dual purpose of being sporty enough to wear during athletics with effective compression for circulation— will buy more if these continue to hold up well.
