Barbie Fashionistas Raquelle Doll with Flower Print Dress and Red Bodice

A very pretty doll. I have always been a fan of dolls with dark hair rather the typical blonde haired doll...this one has dark brown almost black hair with brown highlights.

Oh, Raquelle. You look so different, better actually. Mattel was doing weird, goofy things with the Asian beauty Raquelle. I think she's starting to balance out more, no more doe face that most people disproved of. She definitely looks mature here, the earrings, the more stern face, the tight pony and elegant makeup. Not real fond of the hair though, it's not the pony that bugs me, that can get taken down if need be - it's the fact that Raquelle never just has pure black hair, she's always got to sport some highlights or streaks in her hair. What's wrong with silky smooth solid black hair? It's a nice compare and contrast to Nikki's curly black hair.Raquelle's outfit is stunning, it's such a detailed and stylish dress... the bodice is very classy and fit for a lady unlike most Barbie princess-pop dresses. I'm a little bored and tired of seeing "those" shoes though, Raquelle would have looked nicer in Mary Jane heels with a strap or simple platform pumps - both in black of course, I couldn't see her wearing shoes in any other color and pulling off the outfit, maybe red shoes but that might be overkill of the color. Her purse isn't that great, the pink kind of kills the mature ensemble Raquelle is working, looks out of place, needs something with a long over the shoulder strap and maybe a different color like silver or gold. She's a budget doll so no accessories but it's too bad because with that high pony she definitely needed sunglasses resting on her head.Well, if anything buy this doll purely for the dress. Cut the black rubber band off if you don't like the pony, might want to wash her hair out though right after because glue + rubber banded hair = gross damaged stiff gunky hair. Overall, I'm quite fond of the new Raquelle face, she looks more distinguished and resembles her indicated ethnicity better.She'd get 4 stars if Mattel would HONOR the Fashionistas line by keeping up with the articulated bodies, I would never go above a 3 star rating with a Barbie doll with zero articulation/no joints. And that bent arm and bent knee + hollow plastic feel = definite no.

I love them, i ordered 5 and they are so pretty. I would 100% buy again.

I love this Barbie when came in the mail and it was a great price! My daughter just loves it!

It's what my granddaughter wanted for her 10th birthday. They sure don't make Barbies with the quality they used to. The hair and dress were really cheaply made and the doll's limbs were stiff as a board, not flexible at all. She was just all hard cheap plastic. I thought it was a really cheap quality doll, like the off brand "Barbies" used to be. I couldn't believe it was really a Barbie brand doll, but my granddaughter was happy with it.
