Q: will these work on a 3 5 set up

Hi the answer to youre question is yes it can be done, the front 3 gear changer is set the same as any lever or twist grip, but the back 7 which you want to change 5 gears has to be adjusted to stop the chain from falling of each end of the gears by using the two adjuster screws on the bottom of the derailer, this will ensure the chain only moves up and down on the five gears, hope this helps cheers Brian (Stafford ) 01785-823435.
