Bottom line: 2300 sq. ft. two story house. In downstairs kitchen prior Linksys model, best you could buy a little over a year ago, signal went in and out with the router upstairs on the other side of the house. This gives me 28.7 Mbps on wireless in the kitchen, same as a direct ethernet connection in the computer room. I am amazed!

difference between the 68u and the 68r?

P is the V2 version of U. I purchased the P from Best Buy today and on the back right corner it says:FCC ID:MSQ-RTAC68UV2V2 revision of Broadcom-based AC1900 router with a faster processor and improved storage throughput.Faster USB 3.0 storage performance than the 68U.http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/tools/rankers/router/view

this router worth the price or buy the Ac66u or the N900 for save money

I think it depends on 2 things. 1. If you intend to use parental controls, then I would say go with another router such as the N900 as it should be easier to set up2. If you are not going to be connecting many wireless devices to it you can also go with a different router. I have over 25 devices connected to mine between PCs, tablets, TVs, chromecasts, phones etc. and with this number of devices I think it makes sense to have a router that is faster. If you only intend to connect a few devices to it, then the N900 would be fine.

2,300 sf home. Will this router work w/no extenders? Also, I have 4 TV's w/Netflix streams. 1 Xbox for online play & 5 Computers. Can it support them?

Placement of the router is key, the center of the house would be best. That being said, mine is upstairs close to center of 2700 sf home, and get pretty good signal. 5G is a little lacking at the furthest points, but works.
