The ballast in our 19 year old dual fluorescent kitchen light went out. After some research we settled on this item and was not disappointed. It comes with an easy to follow schematic printed right on the label. Took me a total of 45ish minutes between checking power, dismantling the light, cutting wires, splicing, reassembly, checkout, application of power and testing. The size was longer than the original, but it fits just fine. Lifespan wise, it's been a week and no problems, no flickering and is just as bright as the others. Be sure to match the bulbs with the ballast you buy. The wiring color doesn't have to match what you already have, but the bulb type does.

This worked perfect. It was easy to install for my husband. The diagram was on the ballast.

No issues with replacing the old one except I needed to supply my own wire nuts. The product works perfectly, installation was straightforward, and it was the best price I could find.

Product is fine. I felt bad because my envelope came opened, without the ballast inside so I think the seller has to eat the cost. Amazon should make the USPS pay for lost items. Anyway, I ordered another one from them.

The light in my kitchen suddenly stopped working. When my husband opened the fixture to check what was wrong, he realized that this specific piece had burned out. We ordered this replacement part on Amazon. Since we have Prime, it arrived in about 5 days. It took a little longer because of where it was shipping from, but when it arrived it was exactly the part we needed. My husband was able to install it without any problems, and the kitchen light started working immediately. Before replacing this part, the light would not turn on at all, but after installing it everything worked perfectly again. It has now been more than 3 months and it is still working without any issues. This saved us a lot of money because we didn’t have to hire someone to fix the light—we just replaced the part ourselves. If you need this replacement piece, I would definitely recommend it.

Super straight forward replacement. Worked as advertised.

Works great. With one caveat - the wiring changed. I replaced a ballast that ran two lamps in sequence and the mounts were connected together on the far side; and this one is in parallel. So, I had to mount this new ballast backwards (so the long red wire would reach the other side), pull out the existing wire in the lamp mounts on the far side, and jump them all together with a new wire and new marrette. You can't see it all once the cover is back on, it was just a little more awkward than I had hoped. Otherwise, for the price and value, a great buy.

My light had completely died when it was on. Figured out was the ballast. Swapping was easy for someone with no electric background and now the light works once again. Plus the price was much cheaper than buying local.
