15’s for the rest of us!!!
These things were a bargain! I would buy two more if I had the cash. I’m in a band, and we were using Bose L1’s. These speakers blow the Bose speakers out of the water. I was a stickler for sound quality, and these did everything that the Bose did. And they are 1000 W, so they blow the Bose speakers away. There is a really, really tiny amount of noise when nothing is playing, but it will never be an issue in a crowded room. Definitely the most bang for your buck. They also will probably work as the cheapest keyboard/Electronic drum kit powered speaker. Thank you Rockville.

RPG15: Packs a Punch for Not a Bunch
I've had this speaker for over 7 months now. I use it every now and then, not as often as I would like, but I believe I am now qualified to write a review on it. Yes, it has held up, which is probably one of the primary concerns for many people looking at a Dj speaker under $200. It has a pretty decent construction and I can't see any scuffs which I may have caused the unit to receive in various transports. The sound quality is quite good. It goes pretty loud compared to some of the "budget friendly" Dj speakers and their not-so-acclaimed companies I have used before. Bass is pretty decent; it gets quite low (in Hz) for a speaker and can be cranked up (in SPL) on the unit itself. I have actually set the speaker on my floor with the bass cranked up and had some lighter objects fall off my shelves. However, the extra-low frequencies don't travel that far or give the chest thump from a distance as many people see as a drawback. I would just like to remind the purchaser(s) of this product that it is a speaker, not a subwoofer. I think this would be greatly complimented by a Rockville RBG18FA to help with the low end, but the speaker should not really be knocked off points for that. The weight is somewhat on the beefier side and should be taken into account by potential buyers.I believe you actually get much more than what you pay for with this unit. It is half the cost of many similar entry level units and offers much more. For less than $200, this speaker lessens the economic gap many starting Djs have to get over to get out there and do their thing. I give it 5 stars.

The box and packing material are fine for palletized shipping
Three stars pending further info. Pair of speakers I ordered arrived as described by others here in the original Rockville packaging with no overpack. The box and packing material are fine for palletized shipping, but are not enough to truly protect the speakers the way UPS throws things around. There is fitted styrofoam at the top and bottom but if the sides of the boxes get pushed in, like mine did, the sides will make contact with the speaker, especially the large speaker grill. The fronts of my speakers were fine. A couple of the cooling fins on one of the speakers had been damaged in transit and when I plugged it in there was an immediate and constant loud hum. It went away when I plugged an SLR cable daisy chained from the other speaker and it worked fine but the hum came back when the input was removed. I'm not counting on that lasting so I have entered a return for the speaker. I didn't get to mess around with them much but they sounded decent. I have placed an order for another speaker. Once I spend more time with two working speakers I will give a better review of the speakers themselves. I REALLY want to like these speakers, and I may yet, but I can't give a complete review at this point. And a warning: Neither box contained the floor monitor brackets mentioned in the description and pic. I have very recently contacted the seller about that besides returning the one damaged speaker but it's too soon to expect an answer just yet. When I know more, you'll know more.Edit: I’ve upgraded my review to five stars. I have been using these speakers for quite a while now and I love them! They sound phenomenal and I get compliments on a regular basis on how clear they sound. The cabinet scars easily, so you need to be careful with them, but they are more than worth the price! I’m ordering a fourth speaker for an outdoor gig I have next month.

Awesome starter PA
Awesome starter PA. Went to thrift store and picked up a Polk Audio PSW 125 to top it off. Got it for 30 bucks hehehe (originally a 350 dollar sub). So my opinion is this. If you dont care about banging bass, you dont need a sub. This PA has ok bass. So if you dont care then its perfect without it. But If you do care or are using this for performances and DJing like I am, get a 12-18'' sub to go with it. Be clever, you can find one like I did in perfect cond for under 100 bucks. But anyway, I love it. I use it for all kinds of applications. I need another PA, I may return to this brand for the second one.. We will see.

Was hesitant after reading reviews
I was hesitant to buy the rgb15’s after reading some reviews. I’m so glad I pulled the trigger and purchased 4 of these for a very large outdoor venue. (A demo derby) speakers performed flawlessly in their large venue with both music and announcing. Coverage was for a large area with 8,000 spectators. Used 4 of these and 2 mackie 15a thumps. These performed as well as the mackies. They are great on the announcing side as a pa but do get a little muddy when pushed hard with music. If you are a sound engineer or a audiophile they are ok not fantastic but they are ok. I used 2 of them for a wedding gig in a large indoor venue . Again they sound good not great..but good. They had good low end and really had a lot of headroom . Must use a mixer to eq these. I’m very happy with the performance for the price.

Five for Price
Five Stars for the PriceRockville rpg15 Speaker sounds loud, but a bit muffled compare to the 15" Beringer which I matched up with in my living room. The clarity is not acoustic quality and even with adjusting tremble it wont be as clear as some of the other brands, also it picks up feedback from mic a lot easier than Beringer mind my set up is MIc1 (8ft to 10ft of the axis at approx 45 deg from speaker). Not a recommended setup but my living room is only 25' x 12'. I don't see it as an issue for a house party karaoke or alike,...so you might not even need a mixer if your doing basic performance or (2) inputs. if your a professional musician on a budget this is still a great buy, but wont do for audio mixing I went with this speaker simply cause of the price
