Great cutting and prying power, also the outside edge of the head is gnarled
The gnarled edge on the head makes it possible for you to use these to pry apart moderately thick materials. Such as enlarging an opening.Otherwise the power from these is fantastic, although you won't he able to flick them open with one hand, they are sturdy.

Solidly Built Cutting Plier.
Someone borrowed my last diagonal cutter and did not return it. Great! An excuse to go tool shopping and try to find a better diagonal wire cutter. This Crescent Compound Action Plier is a super addition to my tool box. Great for those wire bending projects that I create.Feels durable. No one will get to borrow this one I can tell you.

Lots of cutting power!
I have no gripes at all about these pliers. Compound cutting pliers can cost upwards of $50 (Irwin/Vise grips) so this is a deal and they are also well made. For anybody who doesn't understand, compound cutting pliers can cut thicker material with less effort for the same reason that a compound bow is easier to draw than a recurve bow even with a lighter draw weight. In other words, with standard, single fulcrum wire cutters you are essentially limited in what you can cut by the strength of your hand. Obviously, the same applies to a degree with compound action cutters, but the design allows you to make easier cuts with thicker material. I use these mostly for cutting thick gauge trimmer line for commercial weed whackers. Needle nose helps to loosen any old, stubborn trimmer line. Easy to control in your hand for lighter jobs too.

Good but know what you're getting
These are nice heavy pliers and the compound action means a good grip on whatever you're working with - but it also means that the jaws don't open as wide as regular pliers. So that takes a bit of getting used to. I have a second pair if I need to grip something that this one can't.

A Better Tool
The compound action really improves side cutter usability. Definitely a value add.

Gimicky
I didn’t notice a great deal of increase on cutting force and they broke easily while using the very tip to cut (which is why I needed the added leverage)
