Does exactly what I needed it to do! Plug the hole to the old water butt!

Perfect
Bought a secondhand metal bed frame and it was missing one of these which meant it scraped the floor when moving. Measured up, ordered one of these - it went straight in and solved the problem at minimal effort and expense, perfect.

Difficult to fit.
Had a drain pipe runoff to some water butts but had to move them for some house works so needed to plug the pipe. Got these as they are the right size for the tubing - but....They are impossible to fit as supplied as the flanges were too prominent to fit inside the ribbing of the tube. No amount of brute force could get the plug in properly. In the end I had to get a file out of the shed and take some excess off the flanges. Finally got enough material off and, with a little petroleum jelly for lubrication, managed to get one of the bungs in far enough to make a seal.Might be OK for plain piping but if using on corrugated pipes you will need to do some work to make them fit.While they are good material and sturdy I have knocked one star off for the difficulties.

Not the right size
Be careful.as if you want them to fit a 25mm pipe or hole they are much smaller and won't fit.

Effective for blocking a water butt outlet coupling
Be careful. It seems some people are buying this thinking it will act a s a blanking PLATE to cover the hole they have drilled in a water butt. These will only block the outlet tube. So to block a hole in a water butt you need to leave everything in place and just remove the flexible tubing.My water butt outlets (equivalent to tank couplers in plumbers' terms) have an inside diameter of 22.3mm +/-.01mm. The plugs have an internal diameter of 23.2mm including the solid ribs which flex or compress to seal the gap.I expected to have to use 2, one inside and one outside the butt. But just one outside has proven to be leak-proof, although a heavy frost might change that. A light thump with a wooden mallet was all that was needed to get them inside the outlet coupler.Good value and simple.
